The so called "metas" have never bothered me....the lag on the other hand is s fckn game destroyer.Not one game plays the same.Bungie and their cheap assed P2P system are a fckn disgrace.....there im glad i could get that off my chest 😲

All just opinions, I don't think the current meta is great, but I also don't think it's the worst. For me the worst was the Uni Remote/Snipe meta towards the end of year 2.

7 RepliesThere is only a meta in trials or 3v3. Trials is absolutely garbage now and, I decided to quit playing it. Hoping D2 fixes that. 6v6 game modes play really well right now. I'll use shotguns, snipers, fusions and, sidearms. I have fun/good games using any of them. I'll use autos, handcannons, scouts, or pulse rifles and, have the same result. Not to mention I see all sorts of different weapons being used compared to any meta. Sidearms only having 12 rounds doesn't give them the dominance they had before. Obviously some are harder to use than others but, they all do well if you play to their strengths.

None of these meta changes affect me much. I just learn to NEVER get emotionally attached to any weapons and to adapt. If players can't do that, they will be constantly disappointed in Destiny. It's a rotating meta and it's been that way for years now. The only gun nerf that really riled me was the Clever Dragon.

18 RepliesAs a Year 2 player I can firmly say that the Doctrine of Passing and the previous pulse rifle meta were the worst there was no diversity because how over used and efficient they were at killing and you could not counter them unless you had a doctrine or a laser pointer that's called a pulse rifle.

Another fact is that you can't have a competitive game if it's loot based. Those 2 aspects simply don't mix. Competitive and loot based are just like oil and water, or toothpaste and orange juice.

Another factor is burn out. I think in the past I would adjust to the changes, but just do not have the interest anymore. Thankfully the raids have been a blast.

why? currently pvo is pretty diverse, ive seen autos handcannons pulses and scouts all doijg pretty well.

1 ReplyReally? I find the current meta to be alright with primaries. Special weapons is a shitshow, sure, but Bungie finally, after 3 years, have done well to balance out primaries so I am not pushed to using a single gun with every engagement. Now, depending on the map, I can use different weapons and be effective. Large, open maps, go with a scout or a PR. Smaller, enclosed areas go with a HC or AR. It is a lot better than every map seeing Last Words outshining every other weapon in the game at every variable distance confusing the crap out of everyone considering it's terrible range stat...

Every destiny PvP player burned is a cod player in the making. Cod servers run buttery smooth compared to destiny's lag fest,it's mostly balanced and has polish in it's PvP that has always been missing in destiny. I love destiny for it's cool sci-fi vibes and pve but that's where it ends for me.

1 ReplyTrials is the only place special ammo needs to be adjusted/looked at. Every other game mode is fine. In trials, you are FORCED to play with certain weapons after the first round. When something is FORCED in any game, it is not good.
