Whether it's camp, use exotics, or whatever it is, people still use what they want.
So
What's the point ?
& why give us special on round one ?
I'd rather have ammo @ the start of every round, with no ammo crates to pick up during the match

Cheapest kills are the way people go. Who want to use a primary when you can get a one hit kill with the icebreaker? I can fully see why people would use the icebreaker. The only bad thing about using the icebreaker is that it shows that your balls haven't dropped yet.

Reading the OP and all of the alternate hypothesis in response is laughable. Every nerf is part of Bungie business decision to keep people engaged and playing the game, most particularly the lesser skilled and newer players. That's mathematical fact. Pvp has been necked down for 2.5 yrs toward a more forgiving, neutral middle ground played on a shortened field......for most folks.....in order to manufacture an environment for increased probability of success. Mathematical fact. The last nerf fest widened the skill gap for the masses and narrowed it for the elite. The newer and less skilled have never had it so good. Bottom line: if you can't compete now you'll never be able to. There's no more help left to give. There always has, and always will be more skilled/polished/experienced players in this shooter, which is more challenging than others out there. Period. There's a very loyal base that has, and will continue to stay ahead of the curve regardless of what changes come down the pike. It's not about bad game mechanics or any other excuse.....what's really going on is folks get out played and reach an ability plateau they're unhappy with, then try to place blame everywhere except their own shortcomings. REMEMBER - we're all swimming in the same water. There's nothing prejudicial about the game mechanics. Bad news for the folks that complain. There's very high probability you'll continue to be punished in D2, D3, etc.....because the loyal pvp'ers will be returning. Have fun out there.

Edited by xxx CGB Spender: 4/25/2017 9:43:16 PMThey say "Just use your primary". Yeah, sure. Primaries are designed to optimally work in all combat situations, lol. That's why the f*** we have a special slot, to have another weapon available for a different situation. "Then go get that super easy special crate over there" Ok, if it were just that easy and convenient, you wouldn't have a problem with the dev's just reverting the change would you? I mean, cause its basically the same anyway, right?! I'm sure that games are hitting the timer limits before score limits now is just coincidence. Besides, if yall are so god****ed fantastic with those primaries you keep hollerin' about, it shouldn't matter how much special you can get... right? "Then you need to practice and use your primary like the game is meant to be played" Is that right? So why has special ammo been in rich abundance since launch? How long ago was that? I am now expected to change the play style I have become accustomed to with a new title coming out in just a few months? Yeah, I don't think so. If the game was "meant" to be played any certain way, it would have been that way from the start. Sure, let's all just put a sugar packet under the wobbly table and call it a day.

A lot of people have learned to adapt. I know I have. Bungie wants to force players to use their lousy Primary guns, by inhibiting other things. I try to use Primary guns as much as I can (which is most of my kills), but the game makes it as hard as possible to use them on most maps. Fast movement, zillions of map obstacles, players jumping everywhere and pea shooter primaries make it a chore. I don't have this problem in Titanfall 2. Players jump around everywhere there too, but you have great weapons and sprawling maps with a great mix of open and closed spaces. That's why my favorite maps in Destiny are Widows Court, Rusted Lands and Shores of Time. More maps like that, which favor primary guns, in Destiny would make PvP much better.

D2 is coming out soon. Let's see what is there main idea of how things should work is.
-
IMO in Trials....there should be no weapon crates...but start every round with 1 maybe 2 clips. Per round: -you don't need more then 3-4 snipes -4-6 shotty/fusion blast is plenty. The only weapon that might need more then 1 clip is sidearms
-
The point was bungie couldn't balance shottys or snipers so the easiest thing to do was remove special altogether after 10/11 shotty and I think 5/6 sniper nerfs they just said fk it take away special this game is dead in 5/6 month's anyway.
Whether it's camp, use exotics, or whatever it is, people still use what they want. So What's the point ?
How do you not see the irony in this post? What's the point in complaining about it if you're still able to use what you want?
-
Last point is a NO.
-
I'd rather have all my ammo back than die to fusion grenades over and over. I'd rather die to two tap thorn and TLW than deal with this current bullshit.
-
So based on your logic you should be able to "find a way" and stop complaining.
-
Mostly we just pick it up every 30 seconds, but ok whatever you said. There is always special right around the corner, sorry you can't use it as a primary.
-
I use no land beyond in crucible, I got one kill with it...btw that was the most fun I've ever had in crucible
-
What's the point ?
The point is that while some people still do what they can for special, others don't. You have less special usage on average now.

Ishto 'Sukul
Romans 1:16 - old
I'd rather it go back to how it was, cause now people Spam the Sidearm like it's no body's business. -
You will find more people waiting by crates with 10 secs left.
-
Special ammo at the start but doesn't spawn in...would be perfect for trials.
-
Trials has been nothing but ice breaker. Remove special yet keep the cheapest sniper for ammo in the crucible? Makes no sense. While I like the special changes for the most part - I still needs A LOT of work......
-
Remove all weapons in destiny and replace them with pillows.
-
People are always going to go for the cheapest kill.
-
Give special on spawn only to the team who is behind just to keep things amusing. And Nerf Fusion Rifles.
-
But then how would they get more special if they're on a streak? Or if they're going for Unbroken?
-
im not sure what its like in trials, but in normal gametypes its very easy to find a box. trials is a serious issue with destiny. i am firm on there should be no pvp endgame rewards. trials could maybe become the competitive/sweaty mode.
-
Maybe ya. I could get behind that. Have a set amount of special the whole game.
-
Trials is a trash game mode nowadays. Not even going to go into it again.
