Cabal using SIVA!?
Hey Community!
I had a very random thought about Destiny 2; If the Cabal are keeping the Traveler trapped away from us, how exactly are they doing it?
Are they using some tech the size of a small Moon to trap it? Or maybe using something they learned of recently? Something small that can build itself extremely quickly and needs no real power source? Maybe SIVA?
During a Rise of Iron mission, the Cabal are inside a Golden Age lab where SIVA was created, if memory serves. Could they have found out about SIVA's capabilities and are using it to trap the Traveler in a SIVA shielding of some kind? The "thing" surrounding the Traveler seems to resemble SIVA to some extent.
Maybe? I don't honestly know, my friends.
I'd love to see what you think of this truly random theory! Does anything in the Lore support this? Have I possibly hit the nail right on the head? Please discuss below and have a great day!

2 RepliesI personally think that the cabal are attempting to recreate Rasputin, hints the dust palace and also Rasputin #4 grimore hints that they where searching for his signal after they were attacked by him. This also might be why yhe Cabal go straight for the tower instead of conquering Venus from the fallen and Vex.

For one they could have used energy shield technology to block be traveler. Two just because they are in the area where SIVA was designed doesn't mean they use. Most of SIVA is in the cosmodrome. They just developed it in mars. Also the cabal aren't scavengers. They aren't here to scavenge human technology. As far as we know they are here to conquer.

We know the hive were able to drain the travellers light using a shard of the traveler so maybe the cabal found a way to do so.

4 RepliesWell the Red Guard, Is techniqually the REAL army of the Cabal. Id expect the powerful leaders of the Cabal put more Resources into The Red Guard. So id expect they would have much better weapons and much better abilities

3 RepliesI dont think so if i remember correctly at the same mission the ghost says that the cabal didn't managed to find anything golden age or siva related and the logic of siva is that it works uder a command in our current case the command is(if I remember correctly) replicate,destroy rasputan gave siva that command whean lord felwinter tired to interact with rasputan the only way to stop siva is to give it a new command and that command (replicate, destroy) hasn't changed since rasputan gave it to siva so the only way for the cabal to make siva work for them is to change that command the only way they could do that is with their psions since they are able to control an entire planet with their mind but their is an evidence that does not support this and is that we haven't seen any past or secent cabal activity and to top it all of their is that video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bixUw1v6Qs8 that supports that siva is giving orders to it's self so the cabal couldn't control siva

They most likely figured out how to trap the traveler when they crashed into the dreadnaught. That was one of the main reasons for going there.
