The Age of Triumph quest was great untill....
I was forced to play crucible...
Am I the only one who hates quests that make you play PvP? I hope destiny 2 doesn't do that.
Edit: I had completed the quest before I made the post. It wasn't that bad once I had friends with me. Still, those shaxx bounties suck. They take forever. I'd rather do a raid that takes 3 hours to complete.

2 RepliesNope, i hate PvP, and it always gets my backup when they launch new stuff only to presented with tasks that require the PvP element. Could never understand why Bungie assume that everyone wants to do PvP. Hey if you like it that's fine with me, crack on, but i feel that i am not alone in thinking that being "FORCED" into PvP just to complete some stupid book is a game changer. I've never completed any of the damn books, as once i get to the PvP element, i stop..

You weren't forced. You had a choice, complete the quest or don't.

Agree. Not a fan of PvP. I can handle not getting weapons locked behind a crucible wall, but don't keep me from completing game quests. Multiplayer is usually separate from PvE in most games, not sure why Bungie made it integral to gameplay. I admire the sentiment that Crucible is just as much a part of the Destiny experience, but it's still just the same old tryhard sweaty bullshit PvP mess.

In year one i would play pve just to max out the light and then play ONLY pvp But i feel you. crucible is more than cancerous now its not fun its not balanced no good connections not a aingle game goes full 6x6, people quit because this game is more than awful i almost preordered destiny 2, but a single pvp match made me not to and stop all the hype

The crucible is so -blam!-ing broken right now and making us play it is like torture! I love pvp shooters but with all the nerfing of primaries and the current special ammo economy, I hate it right now. Add lag and it's unbearable! Great to know I have to play it to complete that quest. Just lovely! Guess I'll just be running around with my Wormwood out the whole time... Not using crappy HCs Maps too small for scouts Pulses are boring now Only primary that may work is Suros. Can't stand the Wormwood right now.

They're only as bad as you make them, pal. I like getting to play in the Crucible now and then. Breaks up the monotony of my mostly PvE experience.

Great until you needed antiquated runes or perfected offerings and the game hasnt even given you an antiquated rune since you can remember and perfected offerings take so long to drop

2 RepliesI'm at that "Step 8: Victory or Death" step and not happy at all. The only two Shax bounties to pick up requires you to play a minimum of 14 matches - which at 10 minutes per match means a minimum of 2.4 hours of playing Crucible. More likely 3 hours. I despise Crucible because of the lag and with the low populations I'm being matched with people all over the fornicating world - bringing even more lag. Which brings us to the next elephant in the room, unless BungieVision grows a pair of Desticles for Destiny 2 and has Dedicated Host Servers, I'm not buying it. Expecting people to pay top dollar for a game and DLC and having the audactiy to tell us that Peer to Peer one Console as Host is acceptable in 2017 is beyond ridiculous. Almost every AAA title since 2012 has had Hosting Server as these companies recognize people's internet is simply not up to the upload requirements of new games as a host. I also urge people that feel likewise to make this a condition on your ordering Destiny 2. "No Regional Host Servers == No Sale for Destiny 2"

Only quest I would feel 'the need' to do was for the original Thorn. Since all weapons are nerfd, I see no reason in doing anything in Destiny for any reward. I play only for fun. The 'fun' is almost gone now! Don't waste your time playing if you feel 'forced'.
