I think Dredgen yor is a title and it doesn't matter what class you will turn into him and dredgen is a hunter in other words Rezyl is a titan dredgen is a hunter and rezyl is dredgen so when he turned into dredgen he turned into a hu8nter

I believe he started a titan and became a hunter after his fall, there seems to be evidence in the cloak and hunter artifact for this. I believe yor took on the mantle of a hunter because it allowed him to roam free in the wilds to kill as he pleased, while the titans were stuck defending, or being soldiers. This might also support the fact that guardians may not be physically tied to their class, it may just be a choice.

OHHH I MISSED THIS GAME so I came back from Overwatch and my first thought of this community is: Titan mains = Xbox players F off with your #masterrace I haven't seen a single Titan main who is not pathetic in every way possible Destiny players are already a joke but you bunch are the pinnacle. He was a hunter, all the evidence I need is the CLOAK that was a rare in year 1 and made a return into year 3 as a legendary, its name "The cloak of dredgen yor" so there you have it, hasn't been a mystery since year 1. I know many of you are upset that Yor is not a Hunter like many originally thought. But the thing is by the time he comes around with Jaren Ward and Shin Malphur, he's no longer really a Guardian in general. He's no longer defined by class.

But couldnt Dredgen Yor be instead rezyl azzir, pujari, a warlock? It was established in one of the last word grimoire cards the narrator heard 2 shots while in a group hunting something or someone. One of the shots, was recognized as the last word, and the second as thorn. It was also established that the last word fired first, and was followed by thorn. It could be possible that Jaren Ward had indeed shot and killed the the aggressor, presumably dredgen yor, and while Jaren Ward would be walking away from the battle, the supposed dredgen yor could have used a sunsinger Phoenix ability to come back to life without a ghost, fire his weapon, and kill Jaren Ward? Another reason proving that he is pujari, a thanatonautic warlock would be found in the black garden grimoire card. It states that while having a vision, he was pricked by a thorn, in the shape of a ghost, and was fed information that led him to doubt the light. This could he the beginning of the corruption that created Yor in the first place. A side note, it was stated that dregen yor had taken many guardians, and among them was the legendary hunter Pahanin, and a reason as to why he wears hunter clothing/cosmetics would be as a trophy to honor or dishonor pahanin

No wonder Dredgen Yor was so good at crucible, he was titan skating around with Thorn.

Wait...you didn't know that, we figured that out a long time ago. Well it was mostly just speculation and theories, but we had a damn good idea as to who it was.

I think many people want him to be a Hunter is so it can fit the ideals of a Gunslingers duel. A one-on-one encounter, both with signature weapons that suited them in particular. One sudden, instant sound. One falls. The other takes his claim. It's the old west brought back to life. Hunters seem to be the persona of a cowboy much better than the other classes. One of their focuses is named Gunslinger. They prowl about the wild wild wilderness searching, tracking, killing. Hunters are thought of as lone wolves. Titans huddle together to defend. Warlocks study in great halls with one another. Hunters explore alone. A Gun, a Blade, and a Bow. These are a hunters staple tools. Not a wall, or a way back from the dead. People may think of Yor as a warlock considering they have a huge track record of being "corrupted". Famous warlocks such as Osiris and Toland, The Shattered. Both consumed by thoughts of dark's powers. Osiris with the Vex, Toland with the Hive. Both fell into their curiosity and were banished or disappeared because of it. Another Warlock, not just consumed by curiosity, but by the darkness them self is something that is interesting beyond Toland or Osiris. I believe the revelation of Yor being a Titan is upsetting because that seems to not be as impact full as the other classes. Titans are seen as incorruptible bastions. Almost like goody goody two shoes. And in almost any form of media, we've seen the "Incorruptible turned Evil" so many times. True, Reyzzil's turn is more interesting, but we've seen this story so many times it's boring. There are't any cool twist or new ideas involved. To quote Harvey Dent, "Either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain." This is that philosophy mixed with the "good gone bad" story. It's just so common. Please share with me what you think, since I'm always interested in what others think.

Read the link, and all I hope is that it's actually Grimoire pulled from Bungie. Have to say though, wouldn't be too surprised if there's a continuity error. First of all, a lot of people said that he wears a hunter cloak. Might not mean anything, until you go to the Court of Oryx, where they drop a whole bunch of artifacts from Eris Morn's fireteam. Each class gets a drop from a member that was also a member of that class e.g. Ankh of Sai Mota: Hunter, Vell Tarlowe's Vigil: Titan. Check Wei Ning's and Pahanin's artifacts, too, and they correspond. Why is this significant? Because Dredgen Yor's Rose is a Hunter artifact. [Edit] Thought it over, and realized that it could make sense. Rezyl Azzir and Dredgen Yor could have been the same person, and Rezyl Azzir was a Titan while Dredgen Yor was a Hunter. Think about it. The only thing that can prove what class you are is how you manifest the Light. As a Titan, Azzir could only use it to strike, defend, or sunbreak. We never saw Yor use the Light in any manifestation, likely because he was so removed from the Light. At that point, the only way you could distinguish them would be by changing what clothes you wear. Why would Azzir want to dress as a Hunter? Their screams more pure. Azzir/Yor wanted to distinguish who he was as a hero from who he was becoming, and the best way to do that was by disguising himself, making everyone think it was an entirely different Guardian. A Titan is cool, so Dredgen yor had to be a Titan. Hunters aren't cool, so Dredgen yor couldn't be a hunter.

He's basically a Titan that acts like a Hunter and possibly dresses like one. I love it!
