Should it return in destiny 2 like destiny 1? Or should there be another way to obtain weapons with good rolls besides RNG? What if we could unlock weapon schematics or blue prints that allowed the gunsmith to make any weapon but with mediocre rolls. In order to get the better rolls we'd have to unlock them by grinding through quests. We could also obtain the better rolls by dismantling a god roll weapon obtained through RNG. The gunsmith saves ALL weapon schematics allowing us to build ANY weapon we want with any rolls we unlocked for that weapon. This also includes exotics. I think this idea makes the gunsmith more useful. It also makes the grind more beneficial to the player. It won't necessarily reduce grind but make it way less tedious. It'll also save on vault space. We won't have to save our weapons that we won't want to delete. If we accidentally dismantle something good we could just get it back from the gunsmith IF we unlock the full blueprints and had enough materials to make the weapon. Let's hear opinions on the subject.

Argument for Reforging in Destiny 1: I have 3 light 400 chars, and a vault full of every god roll I could ever want saved away from months of grinding RNG. If there's a God Roll that is OP, all the light 400 guardians probably already have it. a Kinderguardian's arsenal can't compare. Bringing back reforging will give them a chance to catch up, put everyone on a level playing field.
