Seriously? Who asked for this? You had the right idea buffing autos to give more options, why nerf handcannon?
There 0 reason. A majority of the community liked the way they have been changed previously, what reason do you have to change it?
Stats? Well then buff more weapons like you did. Bad call, very bad call

Edited by Jy-Seven: 3/24/2017 4:23:11 AMThe fastest rate of fire pulses got nerfed a specific archetype, why not apply the range nerf to the luna/Pali archetype handcannons only. You can get a palindrome with range finder and rifled barrel but other handcannons in this archetype without the range perks will probably suck even more, should've nerfed maybe a top teir range perk instead of all handcannons.

It's three meters. Three. Meters.
-
Good. No more being two tapped from long range

Edited by SlyBlueCat: 3/23/2017 5:32:43 AMHandcannons were a crutch. Players can still use them but they should not reign these close quarter maps. Now 'maybe' autos will be able to hold up to them. Diversity is good. Clever dragon type was neutered and hopefully handcannons get neutered.

There is a new nerf handcnnon!?!? where can i get one!?!?!?
-
Hammond Robotics agrees with the nerf! 10/12 people in a 6v6 game would use handcannons. The other two are no lands. In Trials all you see is No land, handcannon. Handcannons have too much range for their damage output.
-
Hand cannons are fine. But getting sniped by a Palindrome/Luna is not ok. I agree with the nerf only in PVP. Hand Cannons should actually get a buff in PVE.
-
because PvP and PvE are totally the same. Thats why

Edited by blade329: 3/23/2017 8:07:23 PMOf course. Whenever weapons become good, that automatically means a nerf is coming. That's how Destiny rolls. I don't blame Bungie for that, I blame the moronic player base who are never happy. First they complained about Hand Cannons being weak. Bungie buffed them. Then they complained they are being over used and too powerful. I'm sorry, but F this player base.
-
First we used special too much now we use primary's to much lol . I will never understand bungie never ever.
-
again, another PVP based nerf handcannons are now useless in PVE unless you want to run right up to the enemy's face to shoot them
-
Bump.
-
Once again you overreact without fully understanding the changes. On twitter josh said he used the wrong words on stream when talking about the handcannon changes, they range is stay the same all that changing is the range of damage drop off, therefore it will hardly have any effect. But continue doing what this community is famous for overreacting over small changes.
-
Me. I did. I wanted all the nerfs. Up next: female hunters in slimming black shaders.
-
Who thinks that hand cannons should be HOW quality, they are hand CANNONS after all
-
He nerfed them ever so slightly because more than 50% of the player base is running round with them. Surprisingly enough that would indicate that they are better than the rest.
-
hahhahahaha feed me your tears, salty one.
-
Did Hand Cannons get a nerf? What kind of nerf?
-
Close to medium Range - Hand Cannons/ Auto Rifles medium to big range - Pulse rifles / Scout rifles Thats what it should be . Hand cannons where also in the upper medium range which leads to outgun pulses That should not be , so the 3 meter damage dropoff seems absolutely fine for me. Autos get buffed to bring them in line with handcannons at the close/medium range bracket. All in one a good change for me
-
The reason was because more often than not, in an autorifle's intended range, a skilled hand cannon wielder would beat the autorifle wielder. This was the reason for the auto buff and hand cannon nerf. I don't really like the drop off but dim how else they should bring it in line... Better range than bloom
-
They were just buffed in the last patch.
-
How come they did it honestly? Starting to go a bit overboard. Are they unusable now?
-
I haven't played this game properly for like a year and a half now and coming back to check up on it again, and it still the same. Bungie -blam!-ing shit up because they're clueless in how to manage the crucible since the start of year 2. Destiny 1 crucible is already officially dead for me. But after months of the similar treatment from year 2 heading to whatever it is now. I have very little faith in Destiny 2's crucible right now.
-
Doesn't surprise me. People are having fun with them. Fun=nerf.
-
"This one category is doing phenomenally well. Let's touch the three others to fix it" -- you, ignorant.
-
Calm down they'll still be the most used primaries. What I'm still hoping for (and hope is dwindling) that they nerf the defender bubble. Oh and not because I want them too...No I want to actually witness Advance Stupidity. Like the type of stuff that makes your physical presence confused. More so than the GIF above.
