Tips for getting to the lighthouse

Hey guys, First off, these are tips for any players who don't consider themselves mlg pro 1337 360 noscope xXfaze_gh0st_w4rri0r5Xx. This is for normal people with an average k/d (probably between a .75 and 1.5) such as myself and my two friends that I played with in the trials and made it to the lighthouse with. I want to cover some different aspects other than "communicate with your team" or "call out enemies and plays" or "pay attention to the dead players" yadayadayada blah blah blah. First- play with your friends that you play best with. I have a couple friends that are absolute demons in crucible but I chose to play with my two best friends because we always play together so we subconsciously know how the other two play and how we play together. Second- use the guns you're comfortable with not the guns that are considered over powered. When I went 9 and 0 with my friends we refuse to use the op guns of the current meta. I was running with three little words (legendary pulse rifle) with my friends using mida multitool and red death. You're better off using guns your consistent with rather than guns that are good but you're not use to using. Biggest and most important tip! BE UNPREDICTABLE! After one or two runs in a game change up your strategy. This will keep the enemy from developing strategies to stop you. It keeps them on edge because they don't know where you're coming from. After one or two rounds my team would always "flip the spawns". We would rush the enemy spawn together by running around the opposite edge of the map that we thought the enemy was on. We stayed off the radar until he were on their side of the map which always threw them off guard. Even if you lose this round then the next round they don't know what to expect. I find this to be the sole reason for our flawless run. Some small things to think about as well: Pay attention to enemy supers- track what supers they have so you know what to watch out for Use your class advantages- as the striker titan my sole job with my super was to shut down other enemy supers (I used unstoppable to make sure I always got my super off). I watched dead warlocks if I thought they had a self revive so if they did self-res then I could quick hull smash them "go ahead, make my day". Of course if the the enemies were grouped up then I would go for that sweet triple kill wipe. Don't be afraid to run- if you're the last alive then retreat and try to get a good grenade off to damage as many of them as possible. Get some good clutch moments in there. Diversity is key- having a diverse team is always good. We always had one person with a shotgun to shut down people rushing us and a sniper for long range kills. We also had a titan, warlock and hunter but that isn't necessary. Last of all- be creative. Don't be afraid to mix up your tactics or class build. An unexpected cloaked hunter can get off a good flank and scatter the other team before your friends rush in to kill the now scrambled peons. These are just my opinions but I really think this could help some of the people who don't think they can get the perfection. Feel free to ask questions and give your opinions. None of these are laws that you need to do. Mix it up. Play to your strengths and most of all have fun. I think these suggestions are a bit better than the normal stuff you hear but that's just me. Have fun. Don't be afraid to criticise these ideas. Questions and comments? Tips from you guys: BigMojoFL75 tip "Remember to not start bragging and messing around and don't get cocky. Focus on the game and not on messing around guys!" FeatheredPluto6 tip "You'll run into teams that will best you at your strategies, and that's OK. As long as you and your teammates are having FUN, then in my opinion it helps all members mesh together more easily." I have to agree. Moral is a huge factor and if you get frustrated then you will do a whole lot worse. Keep it fun. If you lose a game then it's no big deal. Keep trying. Have fun. xX Romanet Xx tip "I recommend picking up a sniper. Push forward and toss grenades when you kill one. Stick together. Watch the orbs. Inspect the players before the game so you can see their supers and what they're running. Have one person run a high impact fusion. I ran a praetorian foil and as soon as they revived someone I was able to put them back in the ground with one blast make sure you time it right though because if you do it too early you'll get the immune frames. Also when you have a weapon setup, stick to it. You don't want to swap weapons around to much and not get good with what your using" Like he said always watch your teammates orbs. Having a super before the other team is invaluable. A high impact shotgun can also be used to blast through the revival shield and kill the guardian if you are close enough. Good advice Romanet. HexedShadowWolf tip "Move around areas that are covered by snipers with jumps and slides to prevent being hit." Definitely an important thing to do. A single good shot could leave you dead and your ghost stuck in an exposed area where you can't be revived. Swarpz tip "Never underestimate a team before the game starts when you look at the roster. If you get a little too relaxed when you see teams who were under leveled without maxed weapons, they could still turn out to be competitive" while they will be at a disadvantage this still holds true. For all you know they could be some god gamer in training. Bendyarms tip "Wait? But you're Bendyarms?" This tip is actually from several of you guys so I just kind of combined them all into one. Don't panic and keep a cool head. If a teammate goes down and several enemies rush the body then just fall back and set up a defensive position. Make a counter push once you are regrouped. "But wait there's more!" One thing you need to remember is that you cannot only see dead people but dead people can see you (sixth sense anyone?). When an enemy goes down next to you they are going to act like a surveillance camera and relay information back to their team. Where you are, who you are and what you have equipped. It's hard to counter this but you still need to be aware of it.

If you're on Xbox One, add me. I'm always looking for new people to play with and you seem like you know a hell of a lot about the game. I love Trials as well, I play it every weekend and try to help people out as much as I can. So far I've done 55 Flawless runs. GT: KKorrupt If you want to game, hit me up, I share your strategic attitude so we'd work pretty well together. Maybe I can teach you a few more things as well. ~KKorrupt~
