None of our weapons carry over, our level doesn't carry over, but the characters that we've made and their classes will come forward.
As someone who wanted everything to come forward I can live with this. Now that being said most of my friends I play this game with right now, the few that still play, said they wouldn't get the sequel if our progression didn't come forward so I'll lose my normal fireteam which sucks.
But that crazy epic armor in the last image of twab??? I desperately hope that's a reward we get in destiny 2 for our time in destiny 1. I would hate to unlock some epic armor right before we leave this game and never return. What would be the point of giving us some swank new threads if we don't get to keep it?
Just my opinion though.

No that's stupid, I missed year one from getting hype for getting my first legendary and I loved that feeling of getting new loot and I think what we need is a fresh start.

Honestly this is great but I can only imagine what this game could've been had it hit the ground running rather than stumbling, getting up with shaky knees and limping to a finish that was moved closer. Still if Destiny 2 will be a reset to fix what went wrong I'll accept BUNGiEs decision but it'll be really bittersweet

So all the broken aspects of the ability spam will carry over, -blam!-en joke.

I believe we should have a choice of what gear we start with from destiny 1. Then it gets left behind as we level up. Say start first missions with bad juju then it becomes to weak. Just so bungie can acknowledge the people who spent hundreds to thousands on the game.

Classes ? IDK about that, especially subclasses. They specifically said "powers" I took that to meant our supers

Edited by JungleofTaxemes: 3/3/2017 5:26:37 PMThat's like not buying mass effect 2 because your tier 9 chem rounds from ME1 didn't carry over. They didn't carry over because it's was a new game with a new sandbox and it made no sense to be forever stuck to the exact same design principles as a game made years ago. People who would refuse to play a fullblown sequel because they're so attached to their gear confuse the hell out of me. What are they even getting out of the game now?
