Every weapon feels weak now.

Do other people feel this way too? Bungie keeps nerfing everything. With every update the weapons keep getting weaker and weaker. Several weapons used to be really fun to use. Now I'll equip one...get frustrated because it feels so useless, switch to another...yup, that's weak too... I can no longer find a single primary, secondary or heavy that I actually enjoy playing with anymore. Everything is just so mediocre and boring now.

    • Genesis chain is like a 5 short or something. Lingering song is a 2 shot or something like that. Hawkmoon is a 3 or 4 shot or something of that nature... It just goes on... Until red death... It stops well before it hits that mark.

    • Everyone swears by 1000 yard but I can't stand it I use spindle for pve and PvP but have yet to find a legendary replacement spindle feels clunky and slow but feels like a genuine sniper and the scope doesn't shake all over the place like 1000 yard when your getting shot at

          My vacancy is vooping more than ever since there weren't shotguns around every corner. Handcannons are consistent again. Pulses feel good still and the high impact are better. Autos have trouble simply from how they function but are better just not great. So I'm not sure what you mean other than not being able ohk all the time

        • i guess its because there is no "outstanding" weapon yet. like the clever dragon was before the patch. Hand cannons have the fastest ttk , but only in their fav range. After handcannon range pulses feel very good. on big maps scouts are very usefull. I even play auto rifles on small maps because i like them and ....... on all CQC its just wormwood... Overall you just have to adapt your Primary to the map. Use whatever feels the best then. But i would say Primarys are in a pretty good state right now. Except for a few Types that still not useable in PVP.

          They could have just buffed the primaries and left everything else alone. If they were concerned that they would be too lethal; that they'd have a TTK that's too high, then they should increase, and redesign, player health; use Halo's player-health model instead of this weak shit they give us in this game. Only 200 health, give or take, and they expect to balance around that? How amateur are these guys? That should be doubled, or they should separate the shield and health like they do for enemies in PvE. Bigger pool of health=more freedom for adjustment. It's not rocket science. Right now, balancing is too restrictive. That's why autorifles only got a 0.04% buff back then. They couldn't do more without making them too strong. But with more health, they could do a hell of a lot better adjusting weapons, perks, and Subclass abilities, and they wouldn't need to feel so watered down.

          • Maybe in pve. I hate using my primary in pve unless small arms is on. Pvp they feel accurate and crispy.

            • Eyasluna, blind perdition, MiDA, doctrine. Go use any of those... tell me... they feel.... weak ? Also aim for the head, not body shots.

              • Except for a few glaring stuffups this patch is reallly good as your choice is expanded and different maps require different load outs. Except for Mr Wormwood primaries feel strong

              • I am changing my primaries about three times per game because some maps only handcannons can fight handcannons. I am quitting many games again. Not worth it when you cannot run what you want but only the meta.

                • Well, I'm not saying the game isn't better balanced now. In fact, my "best weapon" stats are clearly primary weapons. Hell, i think I even have more melee kills than secondary weapon kills. My k/d ratio is going up with this new meta. Everything just "feels" more watered down. Maybe I just haven't embraced the new normal yet.

                    Dead Orbit Y2 Hung Jury is still my choice for both PvE and PvP. I haven't felt changes using it with any fix yet.

                    • Nah, if every weapon felt weak, then the Trials guys would be silent. Hasn't happened yet, which means there are sill good weapons out there. Fear not, their march to destroy every good piece of gear still continues.

                    • If secondarys were too strong or over used, then all they had to do was buff up primary's to make them more competitive, shotguns were always strong, what gave birth to the rise of the shotgun in year 3 was the supremacy matches.
