People who quit at the start of a strike.
Every single one of them need to get a temporary activity restriction, 15 minutes+ at the least.
"Oh but maybe they had an emergency!" Any emergency that requires you to leave the game is probably gonna take more than a few minutes, finish it, come back and your restriction should be over.
"Maybe they really hate the strike?"
I really hate many things in trials, does that mean I should be able to leave at the start of a match(therefore ruining the trials experience, much like having to match make four times just to get a team that stays in ruins the strike experience)and not get penalized? Exactly.
There is no real excuse to not punish those who leave strikes, it's them being plain lazy.

1 ReplyNah I disagree. If im doing strikes with randoms I will check between matches to see if anyone I know has come online. If I dont leave in time for the next strike I will have to bail on your team at the start to go join my friends team and I dont want to be put in time out for that. Fortunately matchmaking will find someone else to fill the spot pretty quickly so its almost no impact or inconvenience to you. Putting someone in timeout after leaving the strike gives no benefit to you as a remaining party in the strike. Also if someone chooses to sit idle in the strike to avoid this timeout it would be more negative impact to you than to have someone else more productive join within a minute of them leaving. I think the mentality or motivator driving this original post was more 'How dare someone leave me! You must avenge me by punishing them!" as opposed to looking for a genuine way to improve the experience.

Making your own fireteam is a way better solution than a penalty.

You have no control over what strike you get dropped into and it's not always easy to leave before they send you in. I often get the same 1 or 2 strikes over and over. Sometime you don't want to play with folks that run ahead and steel the ammo or kill too many adds. So players might jump if they got matched with the same group and they don't want to play with them again. Now that we get keys, I don't really care about the streak bonus so that's not much of a reason to stay. Some of the bounties are easy on certain strikes, so why waste the time if your not going to accomplish anything?

Prefer strikes without team m8s tbh more kills and more fun for me. There not exactly hard now are they?

Exactly.[/quote] Did you just compare a mode in which you have to have a team in place before even being able to start it to a mode that is filled by match making? Did you just compare a mode in which going in, you know exactly what map you're getting to a mode that is random as to which strike you'll be getting? As others have already stated, it's better if some one leaves at the start than having people go AFK. If Bungie were to ever implement a "penalty" system for those that leave a strike - you're going to see an increase to the number of people staying in the strike and not doing jack-shit.. IMHO that is a heck of a lot worst than someone leaving.

6 RepliesThere is no crying in Destiny! Pull up your big boy pants and either play the strike or leave, it is entirely up to you. You compared the strike leaving to a loss on your card for trials, apples and oranges! Two totally different game styles and modes. If someone goes AFK or leaves then I wish for them to not get a reward at the end, then I beat the strike and move on. Cry me a river that someone left the strike at the beginning! It is a video game! If it means that much to you then try this, turn it off and go outside! Look at the sun, grass, and sky. It is a video game meant for entertainment!

I do not care if it makes you or anyone else mad. I hate those strikes and will not play them. Any other strike, I am in like Flynn, and will probably outperform you.

1 ReplyIt's a strike. I'm not advocating players leaving or not participating I'm simply stating it's a strike. I ran the NF earlier today with a couple randos. We get to the boss battle unscathed and rando 1 goes to the far left corner and attempts to hang out on the balcony where the adds spawn. He dies about 20 secs in. Me and the other rando just took our time. Killed all adds, revived each other, got it done while he spectated from his balcony seat. Point here is, someone leaves or is AWOL take your time, there's more medals to be had as well.

1 ReplyLast time I checked trials is the end game pvp activity. Strikes are not the end game pve activity. Think of it as the same as normal crucible. Have a nice day buddy.

1 ReplyIf it's shield brothers or big valus t for the 3rd time in a row I'm gone. Destiny finally has a wide range of strikes available, but it seems to be the same few on rotation. Strikes are simple enough anyway just take er handy until more join.

3 RepliesIf I get any strike twice in a row, I'm bailing out to rejoin the queue. I don't have enough time to be willing enough. Besides, we're talking about strikes. I doubt this puts anyone at any real disadvantage.

1 ReplyFair enough, next time a strike starts and my child so happens to start crying for whatever reason, instead of simply leaving the playlist in hopes of the game finding you a replacement third, I'll simply stay in the strike AFK. I'll tend to my daughter and family while you do all the leg work to get the strike done. And I'll get the rewards anyway. Sounds like a better plan to me anyway. 👍🏻
