DLC

Question? My kid bought himself Destiny Rise of Iron collection for ps4 and is devastated. He is on his 2nd game already and none of his DLC codes work. Given, he bought the first one used at Gamestop and DLC didn't work. Understandable. Bought the second one online, apparently new but DLC does not work. He worked very hard for weeks to get the money together to buy himself that game. Can we buy them codes somewhere or do we have to buy another game? Advise? Tx, helping Mom.

  • Hi there. The distribution of codes is not something that Bungie has control over, so any issues that arise due to faulty codes will have to be taken up with the retailer from which the Destiny bundle was purchased. Please note that Bungie cannot provide replacement keys for codes that are deemed faulty. My personal suggestion would be purchasing a digital collection bundle from the PlayStation store -- this will include a digital version of the base game which eliminates the need for a physical disc, as well as digital licenses for all downloadable content that Destiny has to offer.

  • If you can, buy the digital version. Heard this pretty often so not sure if a bunch of duff codes went out or people have been using generators. I understand it's for your kid so buying it for him digitally might not be an option, but it would remove the need for codes.

  • Unfortunately, Bungie doesn't give codes out for the DLCs. You'd have to contact the seller/retailer that it was purchased from, as they're ultimately who sold you the product and codes. The DLC codes are a one time use, so the only way to know you're getting good codes is to buy a brand new sealed copy, or buy digitally.
