The future for NLB
Many players will have probably read that NLB is on the nerf horizon. Still can't believe what was voted "the worst weapon" and "the hardest to use weapon" in year 1 and 2, has suddenly become a widely wanted gun to be nerfed.
The only way they can nerf NLB is to remove/change the intrinsic perk, unflinching. This is the perk that let's it shoot through incoming fire, dome you and then send you running to the forums to bitch and moan like a little girl.
[spoiler]I feel like I have to say this is joke for all the Wail-locks, Cry-tans and Lament-ters[/spoiler]
However if NLB does get changed, can it at least get a damage buff with 'The Master' perk so that it can one shot players out of their super. At the moment NLB can hit a player mid-super, with the bonus damage, for 188. For a niche scenario that requires me to kill an enemy player and then land a handshot on someone mid-super... I think that's worthy of a kill.
For me, I'll still use it no matter what happens. I have over 15,000 crucible kills with No Land Beyond and I plan on increasing it further even if they do make it more difficult to use.
At least they aren't nerfing my precious sidearms... oh wait. Shit.

Nlb needs to be brought in line with other snipers not a nerf there is a difference. That said there is a reason it is statistically the most used primary weapon at the moment in trials. Does it take skill absolutely I would actually say quite a bit of skill. But once you obtain that level of skill it becomes completely overpowered due to ammo availability and the fact that its sights make it more easily used mid-range.

But then again, complaining about that is meaningless, I discovered, and many people forget why. People like me who cannot compete against nlb wouldn't be able to do so with that same weapon. In the matador meta I was bad to average. When matador was gone I was still bad to average because the same people now use the next best thing and beat me with that. Conclusion, the same people that killed me with nlb will grab the next best thing and will still kill me! In the end we have the choice to blame the meta or to come to peace with our own skill gap compared to the next best player and adapt to that. Nerfs do not make anyone a better player, it just creates more boring and non-dynamic pvp.

2 RepliesSorry buddy. You are the best player with NLB I know, but they hyper nerfed Universal Remote... I'm still doing pretty good with UR so I'm sure you'll still be a monster with NLB post nerf.

2 RepliesWhere does it say this gun has the intrinsic perk unflinching????...it shows a flinch on screen but doesn't flinch that is a broken mechanic not an intrinsic perk.If you are all so high and mighty NLB users and the gun is as shit as everyone says it is then all you skill demons will still be rocking it after its FIXED.

1 ReplyI use NLB all the time and I think I can say I have a good idea on how to use it. That being said I find when I challenge most people they don't bother to jump or slide when they are attacking me. The trick to counter NLB is to run up in there face and dislocate them. Simply just strafing does nothing and is an easy kill

1 ReplyNLB was shit because primaries were stronger back then. Besides that, people in this community are sheep. If someone says NLB is shit everybody starts repeating it. After a year it turns out NLB is pretty good when you get used to it. NLB hate is the same as the hate on all one shot kills weapons. People get frustrated when putting in some primary headshots and still get domed. Im not saying NLB needs a nerf. But I think you cant deny that its a very good sniper rifle. #buffprimary

With the high use of The Wormwood I feel like people will adapt to the NLB changes regardless of flinch changes

No land users will just have to be less agressive while using it with the flinch being added to it. I hope they tone down the screen flinch slightly though.

As an average player, I'd be good with your damage buff. If they would revert all the changes they made back before the utter destruction of sunsinger. The Mida/Doctrine/1K stare era was the best IMO.

2 RepliesIt's a OHK weapon. Nerf it all you want, it'll still be a OHK weapon. It's still the best option to run NLB and sidearm post nerf. Here's the beauty of it all: Just like with the Sniper nerf, it'll weed out the shitty players and I'll excel with it.

Yeah because there were better options now without specials and in this primary meta you cant do nothing against NLB it doesnt matter if you have pulse or hand cannon or even machine gun it is still able very easily to land headshot so bring back special ammo somehow or add flinch to NLB it must be done

7 Replies1. Unflinching never got rid of flinch entirely 2. Unflinching was also nerfed on Sniper Rifles. 3. NLB has no flinch because of bad coding. Stop saying it's a hidden perk.

5 RepliesNeither gun is getting nerfed though. One is getting the flinch that every other sniper has, as it should. The other is losing ammo that you picked up when you die, as it should.
