Could you at least give special weapons a little ammo each round?
Something...
Or put sidearms in line with the other specials.
What kind of experiment are you doing ?

Sidearms will still have to unique ability of spawning with Ammo, but they won't continue to hoard all the ammo you pick up once you die. Click the link for some more changes we are considering.

Do you what i find really annoying? Dying, switch weapon to sidearm, invective or ice breaker until special spawns, swtiching back to initial secondary to pick green up. Dying again, swtich weapon to... If someone is to do this every time he/she dies, that player will surely spend half of the game switching between weapons and reloading. So pls pls pls pls PLEASE tell the devs to make it possible auto load primary into magazine when you pick them up (like heavy). It will be less annoying and pvp a little bit less boring than it is at the moment. Thanks.

1 ReplyYou mean for Trials? I don't see how that would hurt regular Crucible. Trials folks are the ones most butthurt about the special ammo change... screw it let them have it. I like where special economy is on regular tho. In fact I think it needs to go a step further and work on sidearm ammo too. And go two steps further and bring back heavy drops x3 a match.

The reason Bungie has the amount of Special Ammo they do is to encourage Crucible players to use their primary weapons. Even after the latest patch and the nerfing of the the all powerful Matador, Special weapons are still somewhat easier to use when compared to primary weapons for a lot of the Crucible community. This is just Bungie's way of telling you to use your Primary weapon more often, after all it is a Primary.

There are literally douche bags running around each match with there sidearms only ever equipped mowing suckers down who can't get special yet. It's lame. Either subject sidearms to the same special ammo nerf or bring back the other specials to equal footing.

2 RepliesI know one of the limitations is they never programmed anything to track how much sidearm ammo you have after death. So they either respawn or lose it all. No in between

And make them automatically reloaded when u pick up special. Also, make sidearms not total garbage. And shorten the length of time your radar disappears when blinking while your at it. Or just put it all back and make special do less damage if your dieing to get everyone using primaries so bad.

Just sit down by the Special and go to the bathroom, get something to drink, etc. Losing Special for sidearms too would be a nice improvement.

I would have thought that keeping what's in the clip makes sense. I can totally see myself dropping spare bullets while in my death throes... Then increase the spawn time of special ammo, and people will be nice and careful with the use of what ammo they do have. Of course, I rarely play and don't enjoy when I do play crucible, so I'm probably not the best one for ideas on it.
