PLEASE read this.
I know this is long but PLEASE read it all the way through.
I am 15 years old. About 7 months ago i made a post on the forums asking if legacy consoles could get buffed to 1080p as a last minute buff before rise of iron dropped. I didnt know if it was possible, i just knew that minecraft ps3 was 1080p so i assumed destiny could be too. But i asked because i didnt know. Then comment after comment people personally attacked me. Calling me dumb, and stupid, saying "why would you even ask that stupid?" And things of the sort. People started telling me to get off my lazy butt and get a job and get a ps4 and stop complaining about legacy consoles, when they didnt know my situation. At the time, my situation prevented me from doing that because of various circumstances. But some people have no respect, so 95% or more of the comments were personally attacking me. About an hour afterwards (and i regret doing this because it was immature and i was wrong to do this) but i put another post saying "screw this fudging community", because i was hurt by the words people said. And then people made fun of me for saying "fudging" instead of using vulgar language. I know, i know, "dont listen to people online cause they are just looking to stir up trouble." But you can't unread things. And its hard to forget them when they are personal attacks. I say all that to say this. Be careful what you say. Because your words can have a lasting effect. Think before you speak. Yes even online. Because words hurt, even through a forum comment. Because of these people i completely got uninvolved with the destiny community for 7 months... the tongue is like a double edged sword, so be careful what you say. Please.

Welcome to the Internet. Anonymity gives some people a right to act like dicks. Remarkable how few of them actually carry that mindset when speaking to you on mic. (personal memory of one who did, sounded about 10. Last thing I heard after him screaming expletives was another voice screaming at him from another room. Then he left the party. karmaaaa)

People can be down right mean on here and for no good reason. Let's you know they are just miserable people in general, so in a way, I feel sorry for the douche bags. Stay positive young man, it's a game, not real life.

Idk if i buy this story of yours... Its been 7 MONTHS and your just now making this post???.... 7 MONTHS and you still care enough about some typical Internet trolls??? ... If this is true, then idk what to tell you besides, get over it ... i know that might seem "harsh" but thats what you should do. If you really went on caring about what some basement dwellers said for 7 months thats 7 months to long.

Yes words hurt but look where it's coming from, probably some pimply faced mom's basement neck beard virgin with spaghetti stains on their shirt yelling to their mom MORE MEATLOAF! Honestly I've been banned for weeks at a time for talking back to shit stains I wouldn't talk to in real life. I know your young, I've been there. But in my day we didn't have cyber bullys or safe zones, crying towels etc. Someone said something they got a knuckle sandwich . Can't do that nowadays because u will either be arrested or sued. Best advice I can give is picture the people talking crap as what I described above. Have a laugh and think they took the time to stop slurping Ramen noodles and chugging mountain dew until their heart stopped to ridicule u, when they themselves can't look into a mirror without vomiting. Toughen up kid, life's not a video game and as u get older u will see there's more important things to fret over. Peace

4 RepliesIt's because they have a screen to hide behind. People who bully and belittle a child online (sorry but at 15, you are.) are just pathetic little scumbags. Hope you didn't take it all to heart! My ex boyfriend brought me mine last year but if he hadn't, at 25 and working over 70 hours a week I still wouldn't of been able to afford one. Just wasn't a priority or financially stable to and at your age, yes you can get a job but what kind of job is gonna pay that much? I worked at McDonald's when i was 15 and im telling you now that pay would not of got me one regardless lol i was just able to feed myself! plus my circumstances at the time prevented me as well. All i can advise for future is just be careful what you write because only about 10% of this community are rational, understanding people. The rest are toxic little brats who love any reason to moan and put someone down to make themselves feel like a big person.
