It's pretty apparent that all the nerfing and the downfall of Destiny's "balance" and it's sandbox began with the introduction of Trials back in Year 1. Everything stared with this at the end of year 1. Before Trials we never had all these constant nerfs, especially to things that were never complained about. Trials single handedly is destroying this game; especially the PvE aspect

Signed that or allow the adept weapons to be earned elsewhere. Only for the "elite" PvP people who play this all day or the youtubers who make money off this is an insult to the rest of the people who enjoy this game.

Just fix the matchmaking so I can go flawless once. Based on combination of elo and times flawless.

Signed. Remove and replace! Remove and replace! Remove and replace! Remove and replace!

It's because lower skilled players complain constantly.

It's ironic you're dissing Bungie for their actions considering your proposed solution is in line with Bungie's ridiculous mindset. You: Problem: Constant nerfs Solution: Delete an entire game mode Bungie: Problem: Shotguns are Overused Solution: Destroy Special Ammo for All Special Weapons

You know what I have noticed? That nerf posts and trials posts comes from .9 and below players. And with that I say this.
Git Gud and this wouldn't be a problem...
What a moronic thing to even think let alone type. if they remove trials most of us good players will leave granted that will allow you guys to feel like gods but imagine how much $ bungo will lose.
-
Trials needs 3 things to be successful and endorsed by the general population: 1. Separation of PvP and PvE 2. Dedicated Servers 3. Separation by skill - Tiers or Brackets - each with its own loot pool. Without these it's just a cesspool of toxicity, driving all/most weapon balances and only catering to top players, streamers/YTers, and gluttons for punishment.

I don't think they should remove it, just tier it! I'm an average PVP player, but I shouldn't be punished for not playing with high Elo players, If you go flawless you go up a tier that weekend, that way it lets the ones who haven't fight it out!

Trials is what kept this game alive.

This is THE salt maker for Destiny. It used to be the snowflake attitude. Those days were so civil by comparison.

Signed!!!!!! I would like to see Destiny 2 without pvp at all. No more STUPID weapon balances, unwanted weapon and class nerfs, no more toxic attitude, no more watered down weapons and hopefully an end to the constant cheating and paid carries!!!! Destiny WAS a great game, it's in the shape it's in now because of pvp and trials. Integrating pvp and pve was the biggest failure in video games I have ever seen!!!!!
-
Maybe nerf trials rewards? PvE players do nightfall in hope for exotics and get crappy legendaries, ghosts and strange coins, it would only fair if Trials players got to the lighthouse to get 20 strange coins or a stupid ghost.

Signed, I don't care if it's "income " for streamers, get a real job.....Video games are fun, not hard labor..
-
I like trials when I actually play a pvp game on the weekend I do well 😂

just a game - old
no - keep trials in the game but just make the game (pve & pvp) better... and make the game only playable with a NORMAL controller (no scuff/k&m/cronus)... -
Simple fix. Remove pve
-
Why do people hate Trials of Osiris!?!? You can exchange those worthless passage coins for wonderful motes of light!
-
Come on you guys seriously PVE is ridiculously easy I absolutely destroy mobs if anything I wouldn't mind a little more challenge, and No I'm not one of the hard core PvP players I've been to the lighthouse once and was carried.

I would say Trials is destroying the community of destiny more that having an influence on PvP changes, but I would say trials influenced it a lot. On the other hand, I could see these idiots doing something similar with Trials never existing. Most of these balance change decisions are so stupid it's like a 5 year old is making them haHAA.

Petittion that your parrents have to signing on buying destiny 2. helps holding all the kids away

In its current form, yes. I don't object to the INTENTION of Trials, which is to provide endgame content for PVP oriented players. What I object to is the execution and how it has been managed for the long haul. If your going to have heightened competition like Trials, it should go to strictly generic combat. Loadouts should be standardized by making all Trials guns like test weapons - available to everyone, and ONLY usable in Trials (at least temporarily). Then once you go to the lighthouse, you can make a piece of gear adept and you can buy it for currency earned in-game. This puts everyone on equal footing in the weapons department. Ditto for the armor. Abilities should all have standardized regen times so that no character has an advantage in that regard. Remember: heightened competition means nothing without an EVEN playing field. After that, there needs to be DEDICATED servers and super-strict policing that would make Kim Jong Un proud. If there is even the APPEARANCE of impropriety in trials, it should result in a temporary or permanent ban, depending on the record of that person. The game needs to be purely SBMM rather than card-based matchmaking which allows streamers to go to the lighthouse for the 100'th time, often on the backs of players who have never been there before. Finally, end paid/for and free carries by allowing each character to be able to go to the lighthouse only ONCE per weekend (total of three per week). Trials in its current form is, generally speaking, the worst of what the Destiny community has to offer.
