"Since the latest update, Destiny is in the middle of it's biggest crisis since it was created.."

Destiny is haemorrhaging players right now and its community is declining rapidly at an alarming rate and the game is in serious, serious trouble. The fact is that Destiny as a franchise may NEVER ever recover without some serious and drastic action from the game's designers in the next 7 days. Mark my words. Seasoned players and players of all levels are leaving for good, some deleting characters in protest, with many of these players are stating they with never come back. Watch You Tube. Seasoned uploaders such a Rick Kackis and Hush will give you a small indication of just how the community is beginning to disintegrate. Whether you individually agree with the latest update changes or not, that is actually irrelevant now. Activision granted funding to make Destiny 2, due to the loyal and ever expanding fan base and also due to their other main franchise "Call of Duty" failing miserably to meet expectations with "Infinite Warfare". "If the number of people leave the game continues, Destiny 2 will become utterly irrelevant as it will be a case of shutting the barn door after the horse has already bolted." "I don't believe the games' designers actually realise the extent of the damage they have done, and waiting to 'see if things settle down' is clearly going to have an utterly catastrophic effect." The simple fact is, that if the community continues to dwindle to a certain point, it will not only reduce the enjoyment of the game without the huge diverse amount of players and skill levels it has previously enjoyed, it will also fail to get any future funding of any significance, ruining the game for everybody. The irony here is that Bungie had the right idea, but only got the solution partially right. Unless something is ridiculously over-powered like some weapons were in Year 1, then "nerfing" should be irrelevant. The Clever Dragon and The Grasp of Malock were not over-powered, the other weapons around them were just mundane and needed to be improved. Parthian Shot for example can now compete since the update. The improvements to slow-firing pulse rifles and Auto Rifles are to be commended, they have made those weapons fun again, and that principle needs to be applied across the board to weapons such mid range pulse rifles, auto rifles, hand canons and faster firing scout rifles. Bungie, if you are reading this; here is the solution: Reverse everything you have "nerfed" in the update to ALL weapons and ALL subclasses, (except the Striker.)"none of it was necessary in the slightest. Weapons like "Truth" should be celebrated, not nerfed..! It was fine as it was. Improve tracking on all other rocket launchers, not to the level of Truth, but make them better and give them a better chance to have the "3 in the tube" perk and tracking combined. That is what players want. Different weapons suit different people's playing styles, and if some weapons are not cutting it, improve them!; like slow-firing pulse rifles and auto rifles - that was a good call and a good start.. But only a start. CONTINUE TO IMPROVE WEAPONS TO IMPROVE THEIR PERFORMANCE. Exotic weapons that are little used need to be looked at and individually improved. They are supposed to be special, make them so.. Monte Carlo and Bad Juju for example you could replace hip-fire with counter-balance and significantly improve base stability on both. Dragon's Breath, Red Dragon and Fabians Strategy need to be completely redesigned. There is a lot more work to be done to keep this game alive and put it up on the pedestal it deserves.. You have now created and environment were everybody uses side-arms and Ice Breaker (if they have it), which is ludicrous..! You are forcing players to use certain weapons and weapon types in order to compete. That is simply not fair, not right and goes against everything the game should stand for, we should all have weapon freedom of choice by improving weapons to compete not nerfing others so they cannot. Put special ammo back to how it was BUT.. Shotguns should continue to lose all ammo on death. The ONLY things that needed nerfing were: Shotguns and shotgun ammo Striker shoulder-charging in mid-air should be removed. Striker shoulder-charging should have its regeneration time at least tripled, this will hopefully stop some people running around doing nothing else and force them to get kills as the game was intended. What are you going to do to save YOUR game Bungie..? You are only as strong as your community and that is dwindling fast..! You simply don't have the time to plan and update THE GAME with Iron Banner at the beginning of March, you world is LITERALLY falling apart around you, YOU NEED TO ACT NOW..!

 • First off nothing you said here is actual facts, just your opinions. Secondly even game loses player base after the honeymoon period and nor is this patch to blame for player base dropping. Here one fact for you new games which are coming out in the next month will determine player numbers not a patch. Bungie doesn't need to compete with said games. Even IW was down on numbers it still was one of the highest selling games of 2016 beating such games as Titan fall 2 and bf1 it major competitors. You ask what bungie going to do to save there game, simply focus on Destiny 2 and hopefully don't repeat the same mistakes. Now another fact for you majority of the changes to this game was by the request and demands of the community who believe they knows what best when in fact we don't. Our hands are covered just as much blood as bungie's are.
