For the most part

Not so much dead as you will just be severely under leveled to everyone else... If on PS4, I'll make a 2nd character and lend a hand.
-
No, the matchmaking is really fast once your are max level
ps4 btw...
I still find people in the Dark Zone and the queue times are much faster for the dailies, if you que for anything else you might be better off starting it on your own. Other than that, I have no problems queueing for Survival and The underground as well. I'm still waiting for the last stand.

I don't have any problems finding others.
-
It's apparently gotten better since launch but I'm sure you'll get it on sale.

They got their act together that's for sure I came back to the game after like almost a year without playing it and got to level 256 gear score in like a day and I was at 170 when I came back and there seems to be a fair amount of players on it sometimes it's annoying trying to find players but if you come on around noon you can find games it varies but it's not dead like zero people online

No. it died for a bit, but Ubisoft fixed their shit

Edited by puppyk1sses: 2/20/2017 3:06:48 AMAbout as close as a game could ever get to dying without dying at one point. Was pure trash when it first came out. Riddled with bugs, nothing to do, and unbelievably poorly balanced. Since then, we are 2 (almost 3) DLCs in, and it completely pulled a 180. Ubi now has public test servers where the players test out new prototype content and give feedback, find all the bugs / glitches / OP stuff so it all gets tweaked and fine-tuned before being rolled out. Their patches are incredibly well done, jam packed with content + changes, and they do a fantastic job of keeping an open dialogue with their player base and listening. That said, I fell behind awhile ago so i'm waiting for the new DLC to jump back in. My only and biggest problem is that isn't sustainable. Only so much you can do in a small map of NYC, and it becomes boring quickly. They are focusing waaaay too much on pvp, and the pvp in that game is awful. Unsalvagable, yet they keep trying to make it work and are focusing way too much effort on it. If they added their resources to pve more, it could be very very good. But to circle back around and answer your question, it's very far from dead, and it has a devoted fan base that very much enjoy it.

Edited by The Quillster: 2/20/2017 2:20:25 AMPretty much if you just have the vanilla game, like me. Maybe you can find more players in the dlc endgame content.

It's not dead, but it's not worth getting unless you get the season pass as well.

17.99 at gamestop. Im going to get it in a few days.
-
Not dead. But could have had a much bigger player base if they'd fixed the game sooner.

It lost lots of players very early on, but it still has a decently big player base and if anything it's growing as people are seeing how much the updates have improved it I personally play it quite frequently, as many others do too
-
I still play daily

It's not dead but the player base is nowhere near as large as it used to be that's to be expected though. I own it but no longer play it personally however there are plenty of people who still play and enjoy it.
