With the patch out now, we can make conclusions on how things are now.
Pros: primary usage is way up. Initial accuracy on hand cannon buff. Restoring movement speed with shotgun. Uh that's it....
Cons: special ammo nerf, sidearms can carry ammo through death, truth nerf, shotgun in air accuracy nerf, healing perks nerfs, blade dancer nerf, quickdraw nerf.
Observations: Crucible feels alot slower and not as fun. The skill gap is wider which is a good thing but the game feels dumbed down. Special ammo nerf isnt that bad. Sidearms are everywhere due to them not losing ammo on death. Overall, the game doesn't feel any different other than primaries are being used (forced).
Correct way to balance
Abilities: restore all healing perks to what they were, restore Quickdraw, restore snapshot, restore rangefinder.
Primaries: The community wanted primary usage to go up. The correct way to make primary usage go up is to make people want to use a primary not force them like what's going on right now. This is how weapons should be balanced.
Hand cannons: Remove bloom completely, keep damage falloff as is.
Pulses:
High impact- buff to where it does 36 (up from 34) to the head like in year 1
Medium impact (hopscotch)- buff to where it does 32 to the head (up from 30)
Low impact (hawksaw)- buff to where it does 27 (up from 25) to the head like in year 2 taken king
Lowest impact (grasp)- buff to where it does 25 to the head, restore fire rate nerf.
Auto rifles:
High impact (suros)- does 38 to the head with focused fire
Medium impact (hardlight)- does 24 to the head
Low impact (doctrine)- buff to launch of taken king damage.
Scout rifles: No change necessary
Specials: special ammo nerf restored, special ammo should be in the game as it was before, Shotguns and snipers were never a problem. It was the fact that primaries were weak that they began to shine. This is how special weapons should be changed
Shotguns: restore shotgun accuracy nerf
Snipers: restore the nerfs to zoom, flinch, and handling. Restore critical damage for longbow archetype so it kills supers on headshot.
Fusions: no change
Sidearms: no change
exotic weapons
Thorn- buff burn damage so it ticks for 3s like early taken king. Replace send it with rifled barrel.
Hawkmoon- buff Litc bullets so they do what an eyasluna would do 112 to the head (up from 106). Replace hammer forged with rifled barrel
Red death- restore to high impact archetype again. With the changes mentioned, it will 2 burst like in year 1
Last word- restore hip fire bonus damage
Truth- restore ammo so it holds up to 3 again
Class balance:
Blade dancer- restore nerfs to hungering blade, make time between swings faster, replace backstab with a perk that increases mobility after a kill (stacks with super kills).
Golden gun- restore nerfs to trip mine and throwing knife
Striker- restore nerfs to shoulder charge animation
Other game additions
-bring back weapon rerolling
-bring back primary burn
-bring back etheric light to make everything relevant again
All In all, these changes mentioned I feel would bring back alot of players as well as keep players playing. These changes would balance crucible as well as make crucible fun again. The most recent patch does promote primary play at the cost of fun. Balancing the game in the way I mentioned would promote primary play as well as make crucible fun again.

It feels faster paced to me. I feel like I'm dying incredibly easily.

What does Destiny need to be balance and fun? Counterweights and rocket boots. Because nothing says balance like counterweights, and nothing is as fun as rocket boots. *takes off and flies into a wall at 300 mph*

This game needs only one thing to be balanced:
Dedicated servers
-
The game doesn't need to be balanced. The nerfs are what need to be separated from PvE. Overall Bungie needs to get their act together and stop this lazy way of "adjusting" weapons. Nerfing this entire game for 2 freaking years stright was nothing but the easy way out.
-
Destiny needs to not be balanced to be fun....I fixed it for you.
-
This is all worthless shit
You didn't even nerf fusion rifles, ignored
-
And BUMP. Idk why Bungie won't listen to people like you, but by all means they listen to crucicrybabies. Thanks for your feedback! We are lucky to have a person like you here.

So what I read here is nerf sidearms right? Cause I found like 10 of those posts now and most likely they're next
-
You do realize that this would just put us in the same spot as before, right?

Edited by Boomstick1911: 2/17/2017 4:36:55 PMKeep Special Ammo to two crates, twice a match. Make it work akin to Halo's power weapons: Spawn x amount of times, and when you die you drop that ammo. It creates upswings in the game's pacing without allowing Specials to dominate.

I agree with everything except buffing highest rof pulse damage. That damage need to remain the same, also its rof, but revert the magazine nerf. Weapon rerolling doesn't need to be brought back either. Without there is more diversity in weapons and perks.
-
I can just agree with maybe 5 Arguments. The rest is trash or not needed.
-
You forgot something....
bring back the fun in crucible
-
So basically Year 1 lol. That was destiny's best time.

Agreed
