So on the drifter map (not about PVP)

Recently I watched a video of somebody flinching out of the map here and I saw that the drifter map is essentially the helm of a large awoken ketch. Obviously in the reef but a few things to address here. On one side of thee map, there are fallen shanks floating through the air and there is a skiff docked in the background. On the other side, there are lots of hive structures (green spikes and the sort). Also, on one side of the spinning thing in the center of the map, there is also hive architecture. So why is there signs of hive on this old ketch? And if the awoken did priories it for themselves, why have there been hive invading the ship since the collapse? Did the fallen and hive have a battle in this ship which caused half of it to blown up and destroyed?

    •
Hive incursions in Reef space are rare, but as with all wounds the Hive inflict, their effects linger. “The Drifter” is a Ketch that faced such an infraction. The attack rendered its Servitor inoperable, overwhelming all self-repair subroutines, and so what remains has quietly been added to the graveyard encircling the Reef. Lord Shaxx decreed live combat within the layout of such a prominent Fallen ship design would be invaluable, and the Crucible claimed it soon after with no word of disapproval from the shattered Reef.
Source: The Drifter Grimoire card

      • Well maybe the hive tried to invade and a few seeders got caught on the wrecked ketch. My question is, what is the gigantic eye in the center?

        • It most likely took damage from a hive attack before the Queen subjugated the House of Wolves. The fallen arent great about cleaning their old equipment since if it breaks it just gets used for something else.

        • I would guess that either the hive attacked the ketch. Succeeding in disabling the ketch and removing the fallen but then leaving. Or the hive investigated the ketch after it was abandoned and infected it but they still have to leave.
