Regarding special ammo balance from the notes

Remove all special creates in crucible but everyone in the game spawns with 15 rounds of any type

Increase special create time to a extra 1 min

Don't nerf special at all it's fine other weapons are weak and inconsistent

For the 1st option I'm talking about snipers spawn. In with 15 shots shotguns spawn in with 15 shots fusion also spawns in with 15 shots. Sidearms already spawns in with ammo so no biggie

  • Special weapon ammo will now drop once per match at the same time as heavy so you have to choose between them, every special weapon has zero ammo on spawn and invective and ice breaker now spawn +1 ammo at minute intervals this also fixes the problem of people not using primary weapons

    • that would be a big change since 15 sidearm ammo is only one clip but 15 shotguns shell is a lot and I pretty most snipers can't hold 15 shots without ammo perks. Not to mention spawning with ammo every death would decrease the value of the invective and the ice breaker. If at the beginning of a match you started with max special ammo, special boxes spawned 3 times in a match, and gave slightly less ammo, that would be interesting and may work. However, if that were to happen, fusion ammo would need to be drastically decreased. I think the raid fusion, with one fusion ammo armor piece, can hold 31 shots, and I think the plan c can hold 26 - 28 shots, which is pretty bonkers. BTW: The amount of ammo a box gives is 25 percent of the maximum capacity rounded down, so if all special weapons held less ammo maybe 13 - 16 shots like snipers, they will receive 3-4 shots from boxes, which could potentially fix the problem

      • The only issue right now is that snipers and probably fusions just need more ammo drops. And shotties probably less ( because they are so frequent and it could be a potential balance so that 75% of kills aren't from mapadors)

      • Primary weapons on a global level don't need adjustments. Small changes [i]could[/i] be made in regards to balancing among primary weapons. Special weapons don't need any changes beyond ammo adjustments related to the crates and pick-ups. Perhaps loss of ammo on death to reinforce 'risk vs. reward' which is something the dev's have repeatedly stated to being one of their goals.

        • Come on guys!!! Lets nerf now the special ammo!! Great idea!! Finally after we -blam!-ed up all the primaries in the game (no Bungie didnt -blam!- it up. We did it!!!) its time to go after the next thing... Im speechless about so much idiocy that it almost makes me throw up. In year one we had a way better weapon balance than today. And today is a result of all this weapon nerfs. And instead of learning from our mistakes. We just continue this idiocy. GJ everyone! When are ppl understanding that we destroyed so many things by now that were actual unique and fun in Destiny. Yea it sucks to get a shotgun into your face, but is it really more fun to spray each other only with pulse rifles down?? I suggest the ppl that want a perfectly balanced game, search somewhere else. Btw studies have shown, that too much balance makes things boring, takes the fun out of it. And i hate to tell all you shotgun and sniper hater, all you nerf cryers, nothing will change. Nobody will miraculously become a pvp legend.

          let's make primaries great again.. when a student is doing poorly in school you don't change the whole curriculum to make things easier for the troubled student and the smarts kids have to learn at a slower speed so the the troubled student can keep up, no you help the troubled student get smarter and catch up to the rest of the class.. the special weapons are fine it's the primaries that can't keep up and need some help.

          • Special weapons were never an issue in year 1. Even after being able to carry like 20-30+, and get around 6-8 for each box. [spoiler]make primaries great again[/spoiler]

          • I always thought it would be interesting to eliminate ammo crates altogether and when you start a match, you have full ammo in everything, and once you run out that's it's, primaries would be the only thing that recharged when you died. Of course primaries would need the buff that they need, but would make you think of when to use your other ammo. And of course this would only be in the regular playlists, not trials or other endgame Pvp activities.

              • one option is not there. We need to increase the amount of specail ammo especailly on snipers. Trying to control how much special ammo we have has failed time and time again. Primaries need to be stronger to counter special weapons. this became a problem when bungie started nerfing primaries. limiting special ammo creates games that are more lopsided. starting without specail ammo was done and everyone started using icebreaker and invective.

                  Zero special ammo at start of match and increase special spawn times. Only impact special for pvp not pve.
