So yesterday I was farming for scarab with some friends. We get put up against these guys. 2 of them 2000+ elo. Other guy 1500 elo. We were 3-0, suddenly the opposing players are laggy. Then, one of my lads lags out. We lost 5-3, since one of the guys was lagging bad. My friend who lagged out, was not laggy any of the games we played that night. I checked their recent games today and 7 out of the 14 games they played that night, one of the opposing players lagged out. This is my first time this has happened to us and I wanted to ask, did they tamper with his connection, or did he just lag out?

Props for coming on here and asking instead of whining about DDOSers just because things didn't go your way. If more people did this the community would be a lot less annoying.

Most likely it was a connection issue. I had it happen last night as well, strait to orbit I went! If you really want to see if they are cheating ECT, go to gaurdian.gg and drop their name in, look up their games and you will see in each game if someone leaves/kicked it will show up in a a catagory called deserters. But as others have said, just report ingame, let Bungie do their thing.

Just report them and let Bungie decide whether there is a pattern or just bad luck

You just got out played suck it up

If half of their games are versus fire teams with deserters, there's a very strong possibility that they are using a DOS attack to boot their opponents. There are even some good players that do this when they feel they are about to lose. Of course if you do it just once, you're anything but a good player, in fact you're not even pond scum, you are even less than shit. Since people can do this regularly and get away with it, I don't see any reason it would change.

It's quite possible that that guy just had an awful connection.
