is anyone really dead theory
in my opinion nobody but times conflux is truly dead, since the vex seemingly have the ability to summon anything back to life from other timelines, not to mention siva also has resurrected both fallen and iron lords from death. so is anything truly dead? it's hard to say if like the final vog boss it dies in all timelines I consider it truly dead (and yes I vex could summon the core from a timeline or whatever but I would hope they never use that lazy reason to summon times conflux from death). Also the hive seem to have some kind of way of returning from death even if they die in a thrown world maybe I dk.

Siva was replicating the Iron Lords and happened to use some of their armor as part of the process. Taniks on the other hand, could be the exception as it's speculated by the Vanguard that he may have already been dead. This makes sense because he's more machine than Fallen anyway and SIVA can easily manipulate machinery. 2. The vex aren't resurrecting anything, as they are only drawing upon people, things, events from other timelines. They manipulate time, not resurrect it. The Hive's version of this is interesting though. I'm not sure they did a smart thing by saying Omnigal undid her death. That in itself sounds like lazy writing and also opens up a massive can of worms on Hive lore. I'd love to see how they will explain this.

4 RepliesThat's the problem you run into with having Time Travel and Space Magic and regular Resurrections as commonplace in your universe. Death mean very little to the average player, which is why the story and stuff has very little impact when it comes to characters dying. Like the Queen.

3 RepliesSorry to throw this theory off balanced but yeah, a lot of things have died completely. Even guardians have suffered from this. Remember the Warlords the Iron Lords overthrew? They were technically guardians but were killed.

Yeh Bungie may have gone a little over board with the amount of people who can come back to life. Basically 90%+ of every main character in Destiny can resurrect

6 RepliesThe hive wizards can undo death. SIVA can reanimate the dead into machines. Vex can change timelines. The dead can be taken. I'd say no.

Omnigul brought herself back from the dead somehow, but for all we know she also has a throne world, which we definitely did not kill her in.
