I miss how strong this weapon was, it's good sometimes but not as it used to be :l

Edited by GrayWulf25: 1/20/2017 4:37:32 PMI think the answer is to take it up to the Medium-High RoF same as Hawksaw but only a small reduction in impact to (say) 10. So it would have RoF 73, Impact 10 and keep Range as it is. Would it be too strong then?

That's what I think about Thorn's "lingering damage", which I consider the equivalent of a mosquito bite.

Red death should be brought back to year 1 stats
-
Red Death Thorn Hawkmoon Bad JuJu Boolean Gemini All suck in PVP.

Most Destiny players do not like the feeling of instantly dying. When a weapon kills in 0.2 seconds and the average human reaction time is 0.25 seconds. It's considered not fair.

There's not a gun in this game that was as good as it used to be.

Exotics have no place being extremely strong or having great stats. They should not be on par or even better than legendary weapons. Leave legendary weapons as the main workhorse while exotics are there to provide some flare to a set of equipment. Red Death is fine. It is not the best around, but it does the job well enough. It has an awesome perk, it doesn't need great stats as well.

I tried it again this IB and it was better than I expected after reading the comments, so yeah not as great as Y1 but not useless Whereas Hawkmoon is totally ruined. It is significantly worse than Legendary HCs like Eyasluna and Palindrome. It seriously needs a buff to stability and range. Also Thorn's DoT is a tickle it may as well not exist for PvP purposes. Red Death needs a minor buff but Hawkmoon and Thorn need to be seriously re-built. They should not be worse than a Legendary HCs and Thorn's signature DoT perk needs to be upped so it actually damages an opponent, maybe triple the DoT on headshots?

It's not a 'Guardian' Killer they changed the flavor text to remove the Guardian line. It's official, you're not supposed to use it for PvP anymore.

It tickled so bad I almost peed! Next time I'll bend over so I can get tickled up da bum bum.

Y1 was fun, and because of Bungie's nerf happy team that is obsessed with nursing everything in this game to stretch content out. A lot of weapons were unnecessarily nerfed. Now I get that PvP needs it's adjustments once in a while, but sure as hell not on how Bungie has handle it. Their logic has killed a lot of the fun in this game especially in PvE.

It's a pve exclusive weapon now. Back at launch it was in the high impact archetype, but they changed it to the medium archetype a few months after launch.
