What weapon Bungie prefers you to use??

I'm going to try to approach this as level headed as possible. It is extremely clear to me what weapon type Bungie would like you to use in Iron Banner. Simply look at the Iron Arsenal bounty and you will see that you only accumulate 1 point for a primary kill, 2 points for a secondary kill, and 5 points for a heavy kill. This bounty tells us something about how Bungie would like PvP to be played. You get double the amount of points for running around with a shotgun, clearly, this is Bungie's preference when running PvP activities. The reason I make no mention of heavy is because heavy ammo only drops once per match and is typically expended rather quickly. This is a huge problem in Bungie's thought process. You should not be rewarded for running around with a one hit kill stick the entire match. The real scoring should be as follows: Primary = 3 point Secondary = 1 point Heavy = 2 Rant = Done

  • Yeah. You're trying way too hard to push your narrative. The bounty is based on ammo availability. Literally it.

      It's done with completely the opposite in mind, they expect that you will get more primary kills in a game so it's rewards are less. Its funny how some people just twist things on purpose to make it fit their logic.

    • Special and heavy kills get more credit because you have limited ammo, and had to fight to control it.

        Or maybe it's cause you have a lot less special ammo if your complaining about people running around with shotguns pull a sidearm, shotgun, clever dragon, no Land ,plan c,auto rifle , hand cannon , sniper on them is that enough for you ? If not you could always use a grenade or melee(warlock) ,super charge , shouldercharge(titan) wombo combo(hunter) knife throw(hunter) or shoot him when he is farther away or you could just run to a teammate and team shot him. Etc.etc. The list goes on and on use a bit of ingenuity and figure something out If your still Having problems with this go play COD or titan fall

        • Or maybe it's based on % of kills? According to Guardian.gg, primaries still account for almost 2/3rds of all kills. So the scoring system looks fine to me given the overall usage.

        • I have NO idea why bungie hates primaries and gun fights. They just love OHK cheese. Nerf the amount of special ammo in the crucible ya dingus's.

            • This problem is not restricted to IB. I think they should change regular crucible as well. 200/250 points for primary kill and 75/100 for secondary. It's also not just shotguns(it is mostly!)but all specials. Some people just refuse to use primaries.

              • It's because you get 100+ rounds of primary...unless you're using invective, icebreaker or a side arm you don't get as many chances at special kills unless you're good at picking up ammo crates. Same reason you get 5 for a heavy, less chance and frequency nets a larger amount of points. I usually get that bounty done in three or four matches popping heads with a scout rifle, don't even worry about picking up special

              • Not quite. Its based on the amount of ammo available. You have lots of primary, hence you should have lots of primary kills. You have less secondary, hence you should have slightly less secondary kills. You have even less heavy, hence you should have maybe 3-4 heavy kills on a good heavy drop. Seems simple to me.

                  Actually bungie probably figures players would be getting more primary kills, which is why you only get 1 point. Secondaries will be used less frequently but, get you more points. Finally, heavy with the most points as you use it the least. Basically they're going by the ammo received for each weapon slot. Now obviously this isn't how it works for most players. It goes special, primary, then heavy.

                  • There is an argument to be made that it's based on the amount of ammo. Though. You can run through crucible hammering r2 with a sidearm and you get a fresh mag every time you get downed.... But that aside... But yeah, primary should give you more points because frankly it's gotten to where primary weapons are harder to land kills with in destiny's pvp........................ It's also why all of the crucible bounties require primary kills. If it were special kills you'd blow through them too quickly.

                  • Heavy is 5 points because you die extremely quickly once it spawns and you only get it once out of the whole match. If getting heavy kills was less than primarys then they might as well just remove heavy from the bounty.

                    • i see the side arms and fusion rifles being used and when in good hands they are the ultimate. and hand cannon well they are still very very useful too. as for the clever dragon and shotgun and rocket launcher well thats just the easy way to win isnt it? as for more skilled players it will be like something like no land beyond and a fusion rifle or sidearm and a sword ... some weapons require skill while other weapons put in the hands of anyone are very very effective.
