OffTopic - The CoC Doesn't Apply?

I've taken this directly from the Code of Coduct(CoC) and want to see if a discussion can be opened. I'm trying to make a point. Not that the CoC doesn't apply, because it most certainly does, but that it SEEMS like it doesn't. You can't tell me you haven't seen things everyday on this forum that shouldn't be posted. Honestly, the posting habits of a lot of the users here leave much to be desired. I don't like to frequent this forum due to how horrible people can be. It's been so ridiculous here for so long that people believe that the forum is supposed to be like this and there shouldn't be any rules. Stuff That Rocks 1. Treating everyone with respect. 2. Making online friends. 3. Talking about stuff you're interested in. 4. Sharing the cool stuff you create. 5. Planning time to play with cool people. 6. Creating and Joining Private Groups. 7. Taking responsibility for your own actions. Stuff That Sucks 1. Personal attacks, harassment, or violations of privacy. 2. Disrespect for any reason: race, creed, gender, orientation, or disability. 3. Depiction or description of gory violence or explicit sexuality. 4. Breaking the law, plotting, or describing illegal activities. 5. Spoiling games with hacks, cheats, or unreleased story details. 6. Distributing unauthorized, copyrighted, or trademarked material. 7. Soliciting, plagiarism, phishing, or impersonating other users. Bungie reserves the right to moderate this website and everything on it. You are here to contribute to the conversation, not to derail it. Any attempts to interfere with the discussion here will be removed. These guidelines require your best judgment, so please play nice. If you're not sure if the stuff you're about to share is appropriate for Bungie.net, don’t post it. That'll help you stay clear of the Banhammer's blast radius. More insight into what these things mean. EDITS: To avoid looking like someone that just complains about things without a solution, I will add in my 2 cents. I believe that the moderators aren't active in the forums enough. There, I said it. People don't, and won't ever, use the report function to make it an EFFICIENT moderation tool. Sure, the report tool gets users banned, but it's something that you can't rely on. By letting offending posts stay up for hours creates the illusion that it's acceptable behavior. I'm not saying that moderators need to press their f5 button every second of the day and search through every comment immediately, but it's apparent there's a lack of attention to the forums. Either make it worthwhile to use the report button to your everyday users or strive to get more moderators/attention to the forums. And for those that argue against moderation and what not, I'll probably be giving you this reply: "Personally, I don't even mute let alone report anyone. But that doesn't stop there being rules on this site that are supposed to be enforced by moderators. Either bungie should employ more moderators or they should water down/remove their rules. Because there's no point in having rules that aren't enforced." -Cultmeister Apparently there's a slightly popular idea that moderators don't even follow the CoC, biasly ban topics, and even go out of their way to target users. I attribute this to repeat offenders and those feeling wronged not being properly educated on what they did wrong. Regardless of what is true, it's obvious there's many issues within the current moderation system that should be addressed. For now I want to focus on the issue at hand. I'm probably not going to bother responding anymore. Newer posts coming in are saying things I've already made points against/about.
