Unfortunately, Ion is very capable of doing the same if not more damage at what should be Northstar's range.
I think they should just make his gun have a damage dropoff of just before said range. That would leave the sniping to the sniper titan.

You do know that Ion's laser does have a dropoff where it disappears, right?

Yeah but it's too far. It is past the range that Northstar would be sniping in. It should be no farther than just past her gun's useful range in my opinion. She should just get a range nerf all together.

They do need to buff Northstar, but not in her effectivity at sniper range. She should be the only titan capable of doing real damage at that range and right now she isn't. Ion needs a damage dropoff to keep her in her intended play range.

I would love if her tether when activated would act as a arc grenade and blind Titans for a few moments.

That could be a kit. I wish that if you hit them with the tether then it would instantly trap them. Also, I wish it would last until you die and there would be a notification when it activates.

I think a hard range cap rather than a sloped damage drop. Would make some sense for a laser weapon

Yeah that sounds better. Anything to stop her range from equaling Northstar's.
