Year 3 items won't work. Not sure if it's the class item, shader, emblem, or any combination of the three or only certain year 3 items, but I just go for year 2 everything just to be sure. Shaders and emblems can be obtained from their kiosks if you previously got them. If not, and for the class item if you don't still have one, all three can be obtained from faction [b][i]chroma[/i][/b] packages. You might have to level up a few more times to get them, but be happy there's at least a way around it, as I don't see Bungie ever fixing this.
