This week in Destiny

11/17: We have a ton of stuff to fix, but we feel it's really important to tell you how our broken matchmaking system "works" instead. Stay tuned for actual fixes next week. 11/23: I know we have a ton of stuff to fix, but it's Thanksgiving, so we'll be gone through the weekend. So stay tuned for actual fixes next week. 12/1: Boy, I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday! Now that we're back from our long weekend, this week we...... are going on vacation. But don't worry, we took the entire game offline for nearly 24 hours so you can buy some stuff from the Bungie Store while we're gone. But be sure not to bother us about it when we inevitably screw up your order. We've actually given up on the game and are openly panhandling you guys at this point - we're not going to fix anything. Edit: this is trending and it seems the ninjas have sicced their baboons on me 😂😂😂

  • They're behavior makes me wish i was a billionaire just to buy Bungie and fire a ton of people. All the egomaniac managers would be gone, the condescending employees talking to the public would be gone, i'd put real gamers in charge of things instead of corporate asskissers. If Destiny 2 is like this one there won't be a 3rd one as Activision will noticing money not coming in like it was.

    • Yea, this is the time of year where Bungie bugs out for about a month and a half, don't expect any updates, fixes, or anything else until crimson doubles drops in February. They need to take a break from doing nothing to do nothing.

    • Buffed their vacation time by 836% [ confirmed ] Other than SRL showing up at some point this month, we're unlikely to see any changes, or even receive any information until sometimes in January... if we're lucky... [ it is 1000% based on RNG]

      • I laughed, I did, this is funny. I share the same gripes and concerns too. Got to say though, we need to either not take the weekly update so seriously or just not read it at all. These guys are community managers. They're not designers, they're not artists, they're definitely not game directors, they're just in charge of making the community "feel good". Are they doing a great job? That depends. Giving generic updates that don't address any of the real community concerns and just fluffing up the news is kind of their job. What else are they going to do, tell you for the millionth time they read your posts and are "passing them on" to the devs? Are they going to respond to every salty, curse-filled hate-post on the forum? Of course not. When they seem snarky or casual, they're really just trying to play off how little control they have over [i]anything[/i] in this game. Should they say anything at all if they don't have news for us? I don't know. Maybe not. Maybe no news would be better than bullshit "updates". But seriously, don't read too much into the weekly updates. They're just fluff. If they really get to you, like they [i]really[/i] just burn your ass... don't read them. You'll have a better day.

        • I just wish they would address community concerns openly and honestly instead of behind the thinly veiled "this week in Destiny". If there isn't anything to report than don't say anything. I'd prefer a "this month at Destiny".
