New Cabal Raid Idea!

Master post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/218690057/0/0 Yes, I know there have been multiple Cabal raid ideas out there so here is my take on it. I have been brainstorming this for a long time and I really have wanted to show this. This will soon come with its own backstory(I have also been thinking about story missions as a Cabal Expansion). Master Post: So, without further ado, here it is. Raid Name: The Fall of the Legion Description: All Legions will fall. 1st Part: Storm the Legion It starts on a sandstorm. Make your way to the Primus' land tank avoiding ambushes and traps, pressure sensitive bombs. It is a very short distance, only about 1-2 mins long. The sand greatly obstructs your screen, making it very hard to see and making it so you have no radar. There are many obstacles like broken and scrapped metal. Also, the wind will blow you in one direction and randomly change, forcing you to change how you make your way to the tank. Once you are at the base you need to gather explosives to blow through the airlock. Once you are through the airlock leading to the land tank, the hole that the Primus blew through in the final mission has been nearly repaired, but can withstand even rockets and supers. You need to reconstruct the Relic, Big Daddy. You do this by picking up each of the pieces scattered around the armory, three to be precise(barrel, battery, and casing) and put them into the repair machine. They give a debuff just like when you pick up a siege engine part, still called the same as in WotM, but you never drop it. All the while the rest of the team is charging up the repair machine with low voltage batteries coming from deposits in certain places, so it can charge the Relic. It is like picking up a Tomb Husk in Kings Fall, but the only debuff is no double jump, and it is extremely volatile. Getting down to red health means insta-death. You have to put 9 charges in, 3 for each person not gathering parts. You can't put parts in until it is fully charged, and you only have a certain amount of time until the batteries wear out and the repair machine shuts down, about 45 seconds without parts. The UI will say *Repair Machine losing power* if it reaches 30 seconds to go, and *Repair Machine has lost all power* if the timer hits 0. Once a part is in it adds 10 seconds to the timer. Once all parts are in place, the timer goes away. It will say *Repair Machine fully operational*, and you have to defend the machine from an influx of Cabal. You have 30 seconds do it, and 5 hits from a Cabal resets the machine, by spitting out all of the parts and resetting its charge. Once you defend the repair machine, it will say *Relic rebuilt*. The machine then shakes, shoots out the relic. It also fires a straight missile that does moderate damage to adds. It's abilities is that a grenade is now replaced for a lobbed bomb, which is on a cool down. You can then kill the Cabal to charges its super, a huge laser blast, that shreds through the defenses, as well as anything else, and your team can descend deeper into the tank to find the first boss, Valus Tra'aurn. First jumping puzzle involves jumping from Harvesters to Harvester in a docking bay whilst avoiding security turrets, not nearly as difficult jump wise as KF, but much more moving around and urgency due to turrets. Part 2: Valus Tra'aurn, the Forgemaster The room will be a circular dome with lava pouring out of some pipes lined along the walls, which forms a puddle that snakes around the entire room in a circle. The lava will act like lava from the Plaguelands. This will be the forge in the land tank, and Tra'aurn is the leader of the forge. He has been instructed by the Primus to guard the forge, as it is the only way to the Primus himself. He has a giant rocket launcher that fires 1 round per 5 seconds. He will also be able to hurl bits of sharp molten metal, which will imbed into the floor and do a Dot if touched. He looks like Valus Ta'arc but without the machine gun, and with a blacksmith-like armor. His helmet is also changed, having a pitch black covering because of all the soot. You come into the room and you see the Valus working on his rocket at his table. There will be a locked door in front of his table, as it isn't connected to the wall. There are also doors that spawn enemies to the left and right of you if you are looking at the boss. If you shoot him or get up close the fight will activate, the Valus gives one big strike with his forge hammer and turns around, the rocket automatically turning from red hot molten metal to its gray color. He starts to open fire and Cabal swarm the room all while Tra'aurn is immune to damage due to his reinforced armor. After about 15 seconds it will say *the Cabal send in a Senator*. The Senator is a Cabal Centurion with a red cape and is carrying the Relic. He will only do the main attack, and missile launch. You need to kill the Senator and use the Relic's super ability to break through the Valus' shield. Then cooling vents at 4 corners around the room will start to rise up(to a point where you have to double jump to get on it,) and the Valus will have his shield broken. He will then jump on top of a wall and shoot you from there. You will be able to damage him for 15 seconds before he goes to another vent. We will jump from each vent before coming back down and become invincible again(the walls that he jumps to will be completely random). It will then say *the Valus reclaims his forge*, and the lava in the room will rise. You will have to jump on a vent and stay there until the lava flows back down, or you die. The vents will fall back to the ground and the Valus will jump on any vent(s) that you were on, locking them in place so they can't rise again. Repeat this until the Valus dies or you run out of vents, at which you will die. Once you kill him you will be rewarded and a door on the far side of the room where he was making the rocket launcher will open up, allowing you to proceed. The next jumping puzzle is maneuvering through the rest of the forge, jumping over lava rivers, avoiding molten metal spewing out of pipes above, some rising lava that comes over some platforms, and of course the occasional Cabal fire jets from the floor. Part 2 is here Edit #1: Valus Tra'aurn is here! Sorry for the wall of text, I wanted to be as descriptive as possible. Now, are you ready to face the Forgemaster? Edit #2: Made the next boss, the Augmented Land Tank, and made some minor tweaks to the other parts. Hope you like it!

 • Cool idea loved the sandstorm idea especially. maybe to enter it would be cool if you had to clamber up wreckage and platforms along the tank till you get to the top. and then have a button were all your team needs to stand an airlock opens and then proceed to your charging and building of the first relic. great ideas though i just thought getting lost in a sandstorm and climbing would be cool with wind make the guardians fight the wind factor have a small display of what direction the wind blows and slows your guardian :)
