Guardians Rising Episode 38

Episode 38 The Beach By SmartAurum75 and THE OH SO MIGHTY GRAND HIGHBLOOD The Vanguard and other factions representatives alongside Petra Venj stood in the Bridge of the Dead Orbit super cruiser. “We have a plan. Divide the area into 5 separate sectors. We will use New Monarchy and Future War Cult as a diversion. The Dead Orbit fleet and the Vanguard will come from below attacking. The now depleted Royal Guard will attack from behind.” Shiro told the group. Axios looked to him questioning it. “What will this operation be named exactly?” Zavala asked. Shiro turned to him. “Operation… uh...Normandy.” Saladin stared. “Which side are the Oppressors?” The Iron Lord asked. Shiro frowned. “The Concordat obviously. We wait until they attack our beach. We are the new Allies.” “I don't think you know enough about Normandy. The Imperials attacked the beach which was stolen by the Allies. We are attacking the Concordat. From their Beach which was an Orbit stolen by Dead Orbit. We are becoming the Oppressive ones.” The Hunter Vanguard clearly not caring for what Ikora had to say, asked “Shiro? Why in the Traveler’s name would you call this Normandy?” He was concerned that the group was going to fall into hell. A signal burst through to end the argument. From the Royal guard. “We are in battle positions, yessssss.” It was Variks. “But we may face incursion earlier than expected… the Concordat are on their way…” His crackling voice filled the room. Then silence. Zavala turned at the others. “Prepare our ‘beach’. We can't let the City fall. Not today.” Cayde stared at the mic. “This seems rushed but blow those Concordat to hell!” Across space, Hades stood at the edge of the bridge of his Capital Ship. Janus stood behind him. Other Concordat rushed across the bridge. Hades looked directly out into space from the window. “It’s all comes down to this.” The Hunter said. “They actually think they can win...my my.” The Hunter pressed his mic to send the message to all Concordat. “Begin.” He told them. Within 10 seconds Concordat fighters were flying out upon the Allies. Then the Electron Cannons fired. BOOM! The royal ketch was blown apart. One of the remaining 5 was now gone. Awoken fighters flew away from the explosion. Cayde and Zavala looked out of the the bridge of the Dead Orbit Capitol Ship. The Hunter Vanguard pointed to Erax. “Okay then…” The Vanguardian said. “I guess we’ll start now and improvise!” Troops ran through the Cruiser and pilots boarded their fighters. Jalaal’s voice went over the comms. “MOVE! MOVE NOW! TAKE OUT THE REAR ENGINES OF THE CONCORDAT CAPITAL SHIP!” Zavala looked to Cayde hoping his 30 second strategy would work. Erax led a squadron of Future war Cult fighters. Aion and the Chosen led everything else. Then the two enemy fleets were within range of each other. All began to fire at once. Blue, red, green, and yellow bolts of energy flew across space. The Concordat Warlock known as Athena led the Concordat fleet in her Blockade Runner. (The rest of the fleet was made of Phaeton, Regulus, and kestrel class ships) All ships attempted to dodge each other. Not all were successful, unfortunately. Kiria-5 had been scouting the area previous to the battle and decided to join in. She was on a mission to find a Titan helmet known as the Taikonaut. Saying Alan hadn’t yet. Liber flew towards the rear engines of the Concordat Capital Ship. On board, several Concordat prepared for what they knew wouldn’t be their destruction. Janus pressed a button the bridge. A flash of green light and Liber as well as all other ships surrounding the Capital Ship were blown apart by an energy shield. At least 300 dead on both sides now. Then, from the ashes of the resistance, came a blessed and holy light. Also blue. It was blue. Mighty Wings stretched across the Battlefield, a Blade, as big as the Dantalion Exodus VI, pierced the very fabric of existence, and the bearer of this Mighty Weapon was none other than the Arc representation of Daltec’s Shade. Daltec was gone, replaced by this beast. And it was laughing, like a madman. “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HEH, SURPRISED TO SEE ME AGAIN? NOT QUITE TAKEN, BUUUUT… BEST I COULD DO!” DX- Finally! I'm back in action, and not just pressing buttons or smashing computers. Narrator- How the-? Whatever, let us continue… Janus trembled in fear and stared at Hades. The leader of the Concordat fell from the Trance. He would not let any creature, God or man (or both) scare him into retreat. Much less the entire fleet. Then he received a sudden signal from Athena: “THE MURMUR IS BACK! SET AS PRIORITY TARGET IMMEDIATE-” As the signal broke Hades looked out upon the battle and saw the Warlock’s ship blow into oblivion by the Wings of the Horror-OhGodWhatTheHellIsThat-Beast. Hades ran to the prison block of his Capital Ship. There was one thing left to counter this beast. Another, more powerful beast. One which could only be accessed by calling upon the Darkness. The Maw, XeneX. How to trigger this beast he knew not. Only his Prisoner from the Ascendant realm knew. The Shattered One. Toland. Hades slammed his Taken sword into the rupture which he had built. And the entire bloody ship was blown apart from the Dreadnaught-sized Hive appearing inside.
