crytarch decoding into artifacts
i have bought 7(3 chest, 2 special, 2 primary) engrams from the cryptarch, they have ALL become artifacts. I just bought another one(boots) at the reef, and it too became an artifact.
I think it may be bugged. anyone else experiencing this?

2 RepliesIt drives me crazy because you get a legandary ingram and it turns into another legandary ingram when you needed the other ingram, lets say I needed the legendary boots ingram so I can raise my lite level and then the Crypttark cyphers it into an artifact thats crap, it's all RNG I'm assuming

The RNG code tends to favor giving artifacts when it is the lowest light level item you hold. A good way to cut down on this string of bad luck you are having is to make sure that is not the case. Otherwise, sadly it is just random and you will need to keep grinding to change your fate.

Same thing happened to me, bought a primary, decrypted into an artifact.

Early days of ROI...We want the Artifac than armor...LOL Because Its harder to get Artifac than Armor.

It happens sometimes more than others.Usually I have at least one character that can use the infusion,but sometimes it can be frustrating. The other day I had 377 gauntlets on a 382 character and tried to decrypt legendary gauntlets but got an artifact even though my artifact was already high. Not a bug though.I think artifacts were dropping too slowly(same with ghosts) so they upped the drop rate. Them's the breaks.

I actually did have it happen come to think of it. I needed the light on artifacts, also, but I was momentarily frustrated.

Haven't experienced it but as far as I know any engrams (except exotics) have a chance to become an artifact. Try to test it more maybe it's just bad luck. I'll bump this post and hopefully someone from Bungie will answer it.
