The owner replied to the man:
"I am not sure.
It fed a lot of families in Bowling Green, Kentucky who built it.
It fed the people who made the tires.
It fed the people who built the components that went into the car.
It fed the people who worked in the copper mines who mined the copper for the wiring.
It fed the people at Decatur, IL at Caterpillar who made the trucks to haul the copper ore.
It fed the truckers who hauled it to the plant from the dealer.
And it fed the people working at the dealership, along with their families.
BUT, I have to admit - I don't know exactly how many people it fed."
That is the difference between the capitalism and welfare mentality. When you buy something, you put money into people's pockets, and you give them dignity for their skills.
When you give someone something for nothing, you rob them of their dignity and self-worth.
Capitalism is giving something freely in exchange for something of value.
Socialism is taking your money against your will and shoving something down your throat that you never asked for.
