Exotics in Destiny, whether they are weapons or armor are some of the most sought after loot in the whole game. However, alot of exotics are simply too niche with their special perk or simply just bad when compared to the others. Every class has strong exotics dont get me wrong. Although, every class also has a bunch of exotics which are simply collecting dust because they have little to no use in PvE or PvP.
I have suggested some changes for alot of exotic armor that could use some love. Some exotics have additional benefits on top of the ones they offer already, whereas some exotics have been reworked. Hopefully these changes will bring these exotics up to compete with others for that slot. I will be posting a Exotic Weapons Changes thread very soon also.
[b]Warlocks[/b]
[u]Helmets[/u]
[b]Apotheosis Veil:[/b]
-Upon Super Activation health, grenade, and melee energy are recharged. Increases Recovery stat by 3.
[b]Skull of Dire Ahamkara:[/b]
- Grants Embrace The Void. Increased Armor during Nova Bomb.
[b]The Stag:[/b]
- Once per life gain increased super charge when allies are down. Chance to respawn with an overshield. Increased agility and weapon handling when all allies are down.
[b]Astrocyte Verse:[/b]
- Activates Life Steal when Blinking while health is critical. Must have Energy Drain charge available to activate Life Steal. Life Steal has a three second cooldown when activated this way. [u](Similar to the No Backup Plans).

[u]Gauntlets[/u]
[b]Impossible Machines:[/b]
-Enemies killed during Stormtrance are struck by the Landfall effect. Damaging nearby enemies. (No longer grants Landfall).
[u]Chest Armor[/u]
[b]Purifer Robes:[/b]
-When Radiance is activated from death, nearby enemies are blinded. Grants Fireborn.
[b]Alchemist's Raiment:[/b]
-When Super energy is fully charged, Orbs of Light grant melee and grenade energy. Highlights enemies with low health or guardians with Supers available.
[u]Boots[/u]
[b]Transversive Steps[/b]
- Gain faster movement speed while crouching. Picking up ammo automatically reloads the weapon matching that ammo's type. Increased slide distance.
[b]Hunters[/b]
[u]Helmets[/u]
[b]Skyburners Annex:[/b]
- Heavy weapon kills have a chance to create orbs of light. When super energy is full orbs of light grant grenade and melee energy. When super is full, nearby allies charge their super faster.
[u](25% Increased super charge opposed to the 50% increase offered by the Memory of Skorri. Skyburners Annex will have more range than the Memory of Skorri to increase super charge).[/u]
[b]ATS Arachnid:[/b]
- Golden Gun lasts longer when aimed down sights. Increased zoom. Radar permits when aiming Golden Gun. Enemies on Radar appear as individual dots showing all movement while aiming with Golden Gun.
[b]Knucklehead Radar:[/b]
- Radar persists while aiming primary weapons. Radar has increased range and resolution.
[u]Gauntlets[/u]
[b]Dont Touch Me:[/b]
- Taking damage from a melee, grenade, or taking critical damage makes you invisible. Has a five second cooldown after coming out of invisibility. Grants Shadowjack.
[b]Khepri's Sting:[/b]
- Crouching in place makes you invisible. Melee attacks from behind deal 4x damage. Melee attacks leave a lingering effect. Grants additional melee charge.
[u]Chest Armor[/u]
[b]Lucky Raspberry:[/b]
-Arcbolt chains further and more times [u](5 chains at max)[/u]. Spawn with full grenade energy. If a grenade charge is available when killed, body drops an Arcbolt grenade.
[u]Boots[/u]
[b]Radiant Dance Machines:[/b]
- You move more quickly while aiming your weapon. Increased sprint speed.
[b]Titans[/b]
[u]Helmets[/u]
[b]An Insurmountable Skullfort:[/b]
-Kills with Storm Fist immediately trigger health regeneration. Spawn with full melee energy and gain an additional melee charge. Melee kills grant increased armor for a short time [u](3 seconds of increased armor).[/u]
[b]Eternal Warrior:[/b]
- Gain Unstoppable for Fist of Havoc. Weapon flinch is reduced.
[b]Helm of Inmost Light:[/b]
- Grants Death From Above and Headstrong. Taking damage while sprinting charges Fist of Havoc. [u](Only while sprinting, not during Lift jump).[/u]
[b]The Glasshouse:[/b]
- Blessing of Light and Weapons of Light last longer. Grants Bastion.
[u]Gauntlets [/u]
[b]Immolation Fists:[/b]
- Grants Explosive Pyre. Enemies killed by Hammer of Sol create Sunspots.

[b]MK. 44 Stand Asides:[/b]
- Increases the duration of Shoulder Charge and tighter turn radius while sprinting. Greatly increased Agility.

Maybe Peregrine Greaves should work for Suncharge as well? Otherwise they're a bit useless.

Celestial Nighthawk needs to be changed from 1 shot at x6 damage to 3 shots at x2 each so that it's not useless in pvp like it is now.

Edited by Kitty: 10/25/2016 4:03:55 PMThese are good but some are bad, I will edit as I read if needed. -On Purifier Robes, granting fireborn is a bad idea because having that and the increased armor would be insanely destructive in trials of osiris. -In my opinion, it would be cooler on Khepri's sting if it granted escape artist instead of additional melee. - On insurmountable skullfort, respawning with full melee AND 2 melees could potentially be broken.

You do a good service to this community. I like all the changes. Makes the exotics useful without breaking the meta. Right now most of the exotics are useless except for a handful.

The Don't Touch Me addition of going invis on crits would be WAY too OP in crucible. It would be extremely hard to land any follow up head shots, making most efforts to kill with a primary even less efficient than they already are

I would say for helm of inmost light maybe add melee kills have a chance to drop orbs of light. Also peregrine greaves could have an intrinsic perk of icarus

I like them all except the Purifier Robes granting Fireborn. Combining self-res with Radiant Skin would be a nightmare.
