Nova Bomb is the only Super that harms the Guardian who used it. There's no reason for it to be self-harming, and it makes it a pain to do void burn nightfalls and to shut down bubble Titans, because you sacrifice yourself if you throw the Nova inside the bubble. Nova Bomb should not harm the Guardian that threw it.
-
Well it's a bomb....
-
Because it is a better version of fist of havok. It needs a downside.
-
Nova bomb is self damaging, shouldn't FoH? Kamikaze warriors!!!!!
-
I can't tell you how many times that misadventure or architects got to me...😡
-
Because space magic
-
Because it can do what foh does at ranges with a blast radius as large if not larger
-
I think you're right. I get pissed when I'm killed by the architects. Do hammers hurt titan's? No, at least balance it. Throw a hammer to close and get killed.
-
Here's a way to fix it, don't be bad and you won't kill yourself.
-
It's a ball of they void. It completely disintegrates the item it hit. I think it would hurt you...
-
It's so we could appease the doorframes of destiny they used to work for the darkness until we made a agreement in exchange for their help we must sacrifice guardians every now and then
-
I thought the same thing for a while but the way I look at it, Nova Bomb and Fist of Havoc are very similar supers. However one is meant for close range and the other is meant for medium to long range. Nova Bomb should hurt a player who tries to use it in closr range.
-
A huge explosion shouldn't harm the person if shot a close range. It's almost like you want to get hate messages
-
......idk what to say to that except, seriously
-
Nova Bomb. Emphasis on the word Bomb.
-
I think it is to stop it from being another fist of havoc because otherwise they would have basically the same ability as titans but with range I do admit it is pretty dumb though. I'm using bungie's logic not my own
-
Because you're throwing a black hole out of your palm. That right there is why it should hurt you
-
According to my memory, it has the power of a supernova. I would expect it to hurt a little. Don't throw it at yourself.
The spookiest (and luckiest) seven you will ever meet
-
It's a bomb ... Besides this is how explosive projectiles act .. Grenades for example
-
Edited by Dominator of Oats: 10/22/2016 5:25:19 PMIt's a fist of havoc you can throw, so I would just try to practice throwing it from farther distances. If you can't throw it, or use it safely, just hold it. You're better off saving it for the perfect situation or not using it. Sac plays are part of the game when it comes to PVP! Honestly when the artifact dropped that gave me two melee and two grenades I was like, this is perfect for Voidwalker. Maybe I'm alone but I personally think nova bomb is a meh super. But I love their melee and grenade skill tree. To add one more point, you can kill yourself with grenades in radiance. I've done it!
-
Explosions. Nuff said.
-
Lol your funny. I think Nova should do more damage to your self. That way BKs like you can't panic super just because someone comes around a Corner and you weren't ready.
-
I have wondered this since the games launch. I have seen people argue that its a risk that you take, but isn't that true for any super?
-
Why do explosive grenades harm the user? Nova is just a very large explosive grenade.
-
Because you are throwing an explosion. Youre not releasing energy from yourself, you create it in your hands and throw it. Of course the explosion will hurt you.
-
Cuz it is void.. void is negative energy so it can harm you. + if you stand in your scatter nade or any nade the initial explosion will damage you as well same goes for nova. The initial blast will do some damage to you.
-
Because it's a bomb, and they damage things around it. Including the user.
