Ok it may be a compulsory disorder on my side but I find the Vendors pretty useful and I like to have a look at what's available. Especially on Armsday.
Every time something happens to the game, a dlc, patch, hot fix, a dev sneezes, Venus is aligned with Mars in the Virgo , ... the Vendors disappear.
Why? sob...
EDIT: they are back, woohoo! :)
EDIT 2 (21/10/2016): here we go again! Only Xûr and Eververse are available. Squid-face shows up and suddenly the other Vendors disappear (except Eververse of course, money is money). Unbelievable...
...
Wait, did the space squid eat them?!?
EDIT 3 (26/10/2016): hey today is Festival of the Lost Vendors! Let's light a candle for them, and try to remember how useful this feature was...
-
Auto bump. Maybe we deserve a short answer from a dev? It's like phantoms, I don't believe in that...
-
Vendors are busy again. I wish they rotated the stock and weapon rolls every three weeks.
-
You forgot the wind blew in the wrong direction!!!!
-
I can finally review stats of completions and now the vendors are gone again. This one step forward 2 steps back crap 💩 is getting old.
-
Can't see any of the useful vendors but of course you can see the useless micro transactions offered by Eververs.
-
I got my hopes up with it working most of last week. Should have known better I guess.
-
Sadly every-time I need to check something I can't. When I don't really need to and I'm just tinkering at work its available. Only thing I can possibly think of is they have some system balancing mechanism in place and they have decided when things are maxed out to cut services to less needed items, but magically Eververse is always available. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Bump this seems to happen ever week it's getting old
-
lol wow, just wow, the sheer thumbless incompetence. With people like this at the wheel how can anyone possibly hope D2 is going to be any better?
-
Yeah, this is driving me crazy. Just one more way the legacy code is -blam!-ing us over. Hopefully D2 will clean everything up.
-
I feel you man, I was looking forward to waking up and seeing the roll on my Lyudmila. R.I.P
