Easy Way to Fix a Huge Problem in Destiny (Please Read Bungie!)
Reward 1 guaranteed skeleton key a week after doing the nightfall, and you can do it once per character! This will make nightfalls still useful even at max light or maybe give a guaranteed skeleton key after doing the first iron lord weekly bounties

I'd only change it to a skeleton key once instead of one on all 3 characters. Otherwise, incredible idea.

I really enjoy this suggestion. Can't remember the last time I've done a nightfall.... I also seen a suggestion, which I think you should add. That if someone opens the chest, you can grab the loot too.... I'll add this though, but maybe at around your own light level, or a little lower, considering your not using your key. So that way you get the loot, but your not benefiting from someone else's sacrifice.

If they don't agree to an increase in skeleton key drop rates, then I would suggest that once a player has opened the chest the rest of the fireteam can get the loot as well.

Main reasons, the raid has fixed loot with fixed perks (except armor but you don't necessarily need to raid to reroll those) and fixed stats , once you got what you wanted, no reason to try to go for it again.The only points to continue to do the raid would be to get things you haven't gotten yet like Siva ornaments from challenges. Also, I love nightfall because it actually can give varied legendary loot or sometimes not even loot at all and just strange coins to feel burned but not totally. The sense of mystery and variation keeps me interested way longer. Edit: As someone who currently has 16 skeleton keys on lockdown for hard mode boosting, I have to say I'd rather go with confirmed Skeleton Key fragments every strike to make a key when you get enough of them. (Maybe 10 Like Siva fragments.)[b] 320s will drop 1, Heroic will drop 2 and Nightfalls 3.[/b]

4 RepliesNo. It's not a huge problem, it's just a trendy thing to complain about. First, nobody asked for more strike specific loot drops in Year 2. Now we have skeleton keys and it's a trendy thing to ask for. In Year 2 strike specific loot dropped in Nightfall 1 every 4/5. In heroic strikes, people compiled extensive data on Reddit and the drop rate was 1 in 100. Here's your tip: do 320 strikes. That's where the drops are. I did 93 320 strikes to get me ready for hard mode. I have 5 keys on each character and 5 in the vault. My drop rate in 93 strikes was 1 every 5/6 strikes. I was consistently matched with other people +385 LL because they know this is where the keys drop too.

8 RepliesBetter thought.. One guaranteed for completing the first weekly Iron Lords bounties. This how the treasure keys worked in HoW and since they implemented the same PoE chest premise, they should have continued with the same mechanics with the keys. Hell - the one key is still being rewarded for completing the first bounty for Petra even though the PoE chests no longer require one to open.

I was just thinking this the other day. Maybe not one per character, but one guaranteed per account per week upon first completion of the Nightfall.

16 RepliesReally? This is only a "huge" problem for lazy losers who can't be bothered to put in any effort at all. I am sick of posts like this from entitled brats. Get over yourself the world owes you nothing. Bungie owes you NOTHING. Want more keys grind more. I get so many of them I am deleting them as I don't want anything else out of those chests. How? I play strikes and run through them over and over and guess what keys drop. Wow, interesting how that works right??

no. Skeleton keys are meant to be random drops with a chance of getting you that gear that you can't seem to get to drop for you. You are meant to grind for them, not for them to be handed out like candy. Half of you would never last in a game that actually required grinding...

I agree on the streak, increased chance on each strike. Nightfalls increase based on each character run. But also make it a random award too at the end, in addition to the random loot drop in the rewards screen.
