What's happend to our loved Destiny?!? (Edit. It's a Post about the Story not about the Game himself)

[If you have questions to me, please ask friendly and not like a shitty Hater.] Hey Community, did you realized that the real Destiny died with TTK/RoI? In Year One we fought against "The Darkness"(Included VoG,Crotas End, Skolas, and the black Garden). In TTK we fought against Oryx and the ultimate Extinction. Now we fight against High Tech-Fallen and SIVA-Spacestuff... Where is the fight against "The Darkness". Are we now like Spartans which fight for Humanity or are we Guardians who fight againt the Darkness in the Universe which wants to destroy us??? I'm so confused... Bungie, why you mix that together? In my Eyes the Destiny Franchise is blurred since TTK. So please Bungie, don't spit on the true Destiny Franchise from Year One. Make Destiny 2 like the beginnig Story from Destiny 1.
You can hear it when you listen the Destiny-OST from Year One and then the OST from TTK... A BIG DIFFERENCE!
I honestly agree, year one was the Destiny that I fell in love with. While I am certainly not complaining about what TTK and RoI brought to the table, it is a completely feel from the epic, almost Lovecraftian, fight against this great unknown force that came with year 1. But at the same time I can't help but think that defeating these great enemies is a necessary step in ultimately defeating (and ultimately understanding) the Darkness.

  • There's still a lot of love for this game. It's just that the people who do love this game are playing the actual game and not trying to pick fights on the forums.

    • I disagree. TTK opened up a whole new Destiny design, and uplifted many aspects. Things were improved and it honestly got better. RoI just improved even more, loot drops almost too much and there's so much more to it. These changes are happening because we are asking for it. I guarantee you that if they continued on the same path as they were in vanilla there would be a hell of a lot more salt.

      • I agree with you completely. Year 1 was the best. (Minus the glitches and heavy ammo drought). All the weapons had elemental burns (even primaries for you April Update n00bs). The light level system was way better than it is today. And 90% of the 10 billion glitches were hilariously funny! Like Crota running into the crystal room, getting launched by the Annihilator Totems, pushing Atheon off the edge with solar grenades. As well as the really satisfying feeling of getting loot, sweet, preciousss, lewt. Like hearing someone scream at the top of their lungs when they saw a Black Hammer/Vex Mythoclast/Fatebringer/Gjallarhorn pop up on your screen after finishing the raid. And Sunsingers being useful in the crucible.

        • We're guardians who fight any oncoming threat to ourselves and our city. The darkness is in just about everything in the system. The Hive worship it directly, the Fallen work with it for revenge, the vex came with the hive, and the Cabal are there for reinforcements. Year 2, we went up against the core of the hive, and we find the god king they worshipped in the shrine of oryx. He uses the power of the darkness to alter its children, and we fought it back. He came on a dreadnaught that we raided for resources and gear. Year 3 the fallen found something we created and augmented themselves with it. Immediately, the one survivor of the person in the incident called the person who raided the vault of glass and killed oryx on his dreadnaught to deal with the threat. And we destroyed it too. Year 1 destiny was it's worst time if you ask me. No strike bosses had a design, it was filled with bosses who were just bigger versions of regular enemies that had a big health bar, and would sometimes move around. The cutscenes were inconsistent, and it was really difficult for anyone to feel anything for any character. Year 2, we all bonded with Cayde, and for the first time ever I gave a shit about the ghost in year 3 finishing the khostov mission.
