I've being trying to get the last word for weeks now by continuously buying three of coins and hoping that I'll get lucky. Well Xur is here today and selling primary legacy engrams today. So my question is, should I continue on buying three of coins and praying to RNG or just buy a couple legacy engrams?

NEVER buy Legacy unless it's for completion factor - Grimoire. Legacy/Y1 won't scale up to Y3 Light Level.
-QA Test Engineer (a.k.a. AR IS4 NUBS)
Edited by KannibalKlown: 10/7/2016 3:51:41 PMThere are only 2 real reasons to get Legacy Engrams. A) Gamer OCD / Completionist Syndrome Gotta catch em all! But seriously, this will let you finish off some missing grimoire cards and finish off your Y1 inventory if you need it B) EXPENSIVE way to try to get a y2 version of a y1 exotic The legacies are weighted to give you a y1 item you don't already have. So TECHNICALLY... if you wanted a y2 version of a y1 gun that you didn't already have. THEN buying enough legacy engrams of that type would EVENTUALLY get it for you as it fills out your y1 armory. Then you can unlock the y2 version. Like, if you had a good chunk of the Y1 primaries but really wanted that Red Death. THen it probably would only take a handful of Legacy Primary engrams to get the Y1 Red Death. And then you could unlock the Y2 Red Death. But "B" is a very expensive proposition.
