Faction exotic quest bugged.
Bungie, please tell me you are aware that the faction exotic quest is currently bugged? It seems to be the same issue as before where the class item does not count unless its from before rise of iron. Assuming you are aware of the problem & its an old issue, can we expect a solution in the next hotfix?

I'm fairly certain they said that, for now, using specter gear would work for the quest. That said, I haven't tried this yet, and I'm on the quest.

Glad to see i am not the only one with this problem. Only way i can get the quest done now, is by switching to an old warlock bond of new monarchy i still have in my vault for some strange reason. 140 light so drops me about 20 light levels. Guess i won't be getting the quest done with heroic strikes. Fix this stuff bungie and i wouldn't say i am out of line to ask for a refund of my marks which i spent on a class item that doesn't work for this quest... Another fine example of inferior testing protocols i guess. We as a community should be payed for acting as your testers.

I ran into the same problem. I got around it by claiming chroma rewards. A class item that I could use dropped in the package. It's a random drop for certain, but probably your only option at this point because who knows when they'll get around to fixing it.

2 RepliesI've done the Dead Orbit faction exotic quest on my main Warlock, but have no hope of ever getting it on my secondary Hunter. Since they drastically reduced the Faction Rep rewards from what they were in Y1, it simply takes far too long to grind out Faction Rep. It's such a long grind now, that there's simply no desire to put any serious effort into it. Much less get my third character to Rank 25 in a Faction... So, if she (my 1st of two Hunters) happens to hit it at some unknown point in the future, great. But Bungie's Faction Rep reduction just killed any desire to really push for any kind of Faction Rep. The slog is simply far too long for any appreciable reward. Which is a shame too. I've Googled pictures of the Dead Orbit Exotic Cloak, it looks fantastic. I'd have her wearing it constantly, but Bungie themselves have killed any desire to push for it.

Omg thank u I've been looking for a fix to this but I guess there isn't one, it's taken me way to long to get the quest for fwc so I really hope bungie patch this in the next hotfix
