Cannot join fireteam with anyone else on my local connection

The title says it all. I cannot join in a fireteam with anyone that is connected to my WiFi. My roommate and I can no longer play destiny together because of this. We have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the router, disconnecting and reconnecting each PS4, changing fireteam setting, etc, but nothing is working. We tested this further by having a mutual friend bring his PS4 over and attempt to join a fireteam with either of us. He was unsuccessful and got the same "unable to join target player" message that we have been getting for weeks. Then as soon as he went home and connected to his own Internet we could join his fireteam. However, only one of us could join him as we are still unable to join each other since we share a local connection. I know this is a known issue, and 2.4.0 solved at least one of the problems, but it didn't solve all of them as we are still unable to play together. I'm just looking for any and all advice on how we might be able to fix this issue. Also, if anyone knows of how to contact bungie directly I would love to speak with an employee one on one to streamline communication about this issue.

  • Having exactly the same issue with me and my mrs. cant join each others fireteam. it worked for 2 days then stopped again. extremely annoying as we are both in the same community and play with the same people so one of us is always loosing out on raids or crucible time.
