Character Transfer solution: Destiny 2- Kotaku rumors

DISCLOSURE I AM NOT ASKING TO KEEP GEAR, ARMOUR, WEAPONS, AND OR MATERIALS. These propositions and ideas are for a "just in case scenario" in which the possibility of the kotaku rumours are true. I AM NOT ASKING FOR AN EXPANSION, I AM ASKING FOR DIVERSITY- FOR A TLDR VERSION OF THIS POST- READ THE EDITS AND THE BOLDED UNDERLINED STATEMENTS. END Edit- to start this is Bungie's promise
The shared-world first-person shooter only launched three months ago, but developer Bungie’s already making the first sequel in a franchise it hopes will span 10 years. Community manager David Dague told IGN that player characters from Destiny will transfer over to the sequel when it releases, giving hardcore players another reason to stick with the franchise as it expands. “For Destiny 2, the idea is that the Guardian that you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure,” said Dague. “If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they’ve had a relationship with the same character for a very long time.”
- David Dague Source: http://venturebeat.com/2014/12/08/destiny-2-characters-carry-over/ There's a beauty in having the same character carry over guys. Bungie, there's some people here who worked 3 years for their character, some like me who came in just this year (Y2-Y3) and grinded hours away. If characters carry over, (rather than just eliminating our guardians entirely and not keeping to your original promise of "Your Guardians will always be there," promise <don't be Obama with his healthcare plan- "If you like your plan you can keep it" bullcrap>), I would like to see 1) Maintain our light level going into Destiny 2 2) Maintain the original 3 classes of Hunter, Warlock, and Titan- NOT A RESKINNED VERSION OF EACH FOR DESTINY 2 WHICH I KNOW YOU WILL PASS AS NEW, the beauty of an MMO is MULTIPLE CLASSES with multiple routes (subclasses). With this in mind- imagine a Fireteam of 6, different classes each. Imagine the original 3 paired up with the new 3? 6 classes in destiny overall, 18 subclasses to level. It would truly make the game way more diverse. 3) Maintain our skill tree for each subclass For you to take away the three main classes creates a huge hole in the lore! Removes all of or familiar characters like Saladin, the Iron Lords, and every dang character we know about. It means the lore wasn't really for 10 years, it means you just made up stuff for one game keeping the core Darkness vs Light story (which itself is pathetic without our guardian classes and the stories of each character) I totally understand getting rid of weapons, armour, and materials, but not the actual guardian itself please. If not you trolled us for 3 years. You can still make an entirely new game with those 3 propositions. Also, I'm fully aware that Bungie doesn't keep their promises. Edit 1: I'm starting to already just be in the moment and just let go, hopefully the lore of Destiny 2 is more in depth and that should suffice for me. Edit 2: Please see edit 1 and stop getting mad at me whaaaaaawhaaaaa. Jk. I told you guys, I just hope the story is good now and I hope they make more classes to add on to the original three. Edit 3: My most important proposition I would love to see implemented is 2, but then again, if Bungie and Corp Activision can make a story and lore for Destiny 2 and IT MAKES SENSE, I'll go all for it. I'm willing to start fresh. I AM NOT ASKING TO KEEP GEAR WEAPONS OR MATERIALS, CAN YOU STOP BEATING A DEAD DOG AND ACTUALLY READ MY PROPOSITIONS? I AM NOT ASKING FOR AN EXPANSION IN DESTINY 2, simply stated - KEEP OUR CLASSES- The Titan, Warlock, and Hunter- without them, it just won't feel like destiny. I do not want to see a devil spliced scenario where you're trying to pass them off as a new enemy in regards to new classes where you reskin the Titan, warlock, and hunter classes. I want to see the original three end up with an additional 3. Tell me guys, wouldn't it be more fun with 6 classes to play around with 18 subclasses in general? That's more of a step up than a step down. It stays true to an MMO feel whilst giving plenty of room for totally new content. It maintains the lore as be original three came from the traveler as symbols in lore- The Wall, Scholar/Magician, and the Scout. Edit 4 WE ARE OFFICIALLY TRENDING. Keep the responses coming. I'm working to open up this discussion. Edit 5 THIS IS MY MAIN REASON WHY I WANT THE ORIGINAL THREE TO STAY, I RESPONDED TO SOMEONE who said I'm demanding. I'm demanding cause the lore wouldn't make sense without the original three.

No I agree with you, read the edits and bolded areas. All I ask is for the three original classes to stay cause without them, the lore would be messed up! Also, wouldn't it be cool to have 6 character slots for 6 classes (3 original classes and 3 new ones for the fresh start?).? I say that's way more diverse, adds to the lore, and creates a better MMO feel. I love this game and I don't mind starting over (for some reason people fail to still read my bolded underlined area where I state: "I do not care about losing gear, weapons, materials, and armour, JUST KEEP THE ORIGINAL THREE. Please, what is your response to my edits and bolded prop? It allows bungie a lot of room for new content whilst maintaining the lore- OR - are you one of those people who want to see a reskinned version of a Titan, Warlock, and Hunter? Cause those three have attributes unique to their play style- and it's a MANDATORY one. One range, one rush, and one mid. If they get rid of those classes- they would need to replace them with similar ones - one that's ranged, one that's meant to tank( and one that's meant to be mid. In other words they'll reskin them. To me that's not entirely new. Entirely new means a different attribute. I'm currently searching for a post I read on these forums a while back with someone's thoughts on 3 new classes to compliment the original three.... aside from this, if bungie follows what you ask and they delete the original three, we might as well get rid of the grimoire because: The Iron Lords only had 3 classes, the traveler only made 3 original classes (but those original three began to make more subclasses based off their current skills- like how we got Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, and Nightstalker.) they could take that formation idea and expand it to a new class in general I.e. The warlocks and Titans came together and formed this new class to bend the light to their will... and so on.
I WANT A BRAND NEW GAME, BUT FOR THE STORY'S SAKE, PLEASE OH PLEASE KEEP THE ORIGINAL THREE. ALSO FOR DIVERSITY, JUST MAKE NEW CLASSES TO ALLOW US MORE COMBINATIONS FOR FIRE TEAMS!
