New Monarchy exotic quest not gaining progress
I've done about 40 strikes and killed over 40 guardians and won 10 games and none of my progress has gone up on my New Monarchy exotic quest please fix this bug

The Crucible part for my exotic class item for New Monarchy is working but when I do heroic strikes it doesn't count towards the completion of 10 strikes. I have the new monarchy armour on and shader and emblem. Yet the strikes don't count.

I found how to do it just keep on Opening chests in the strikes untill you get a year three version of the year1 mark,bond,cloak from whatever faction you're trying to get done. After you get it equip all the required items and get er' done

Had the same issue with my Warlock trying to get the New Monarchy exotic class item. High Command bond did not work, but "The Risen One" bond from New Monarchy did.

Tried with older shades and emblems didn't work. Could be do to new codes won't register as faction items yet so the quest is on hold

The sad thing is if you look on line they have had this exact problem since TTK. In one of the old posts from last year it said to download a unique banner and it would fix the problem. So for giggles I tried the code and restarted destiny after. Sure enough unique banner is there in the emblem kiosk put it on and it still won't register shit to the server... thanks bungie for issuing a fix that now longer works because you forgot to carry over the fix to ROI. 🤔

Mine is bugged too, I have the shader, class item and emblem on, and gain no progress when playing , please fix these colors and class item are ugly.

Seems like the y3 faction class items aren't working towards the quest, the same way the y2 Spektar class items weren't. If you have any of the REGULAR y2 ones in your inventory, then I suggest trying those. Otherwise... I dunno. Maybe one of the different y3 faction class ones work? Like a dropped is different than a bought or something.

I was having the same problem with New Monarchy on my Warlock. If you happen to have a year 2 class item from that faction, use it. If you don't.. I have figured out that you can still get it by equipping certain class items. Each faction has an exotic class item for each character (the one you're trying to obtain by finishing that quest.). With RoI, there seem to be legendary versions of these class items now being released. I got a Warlock Bond called "The Age to Come" from New Monarchy upgrade package. It's a legendary bond, but it is the legendary version of the year 2 exotic that you get from actually completing the quest. I equipped it and it works. I'm finally getting the quest done. So if you happen to get a class item from ranking up your faction, check to see if it's the legendary version of the exotic and if it is.. you can use it. I hope that made sense and I hope it helped.

not worth the grind for faction exotic class items anymore. Bungie ruined them. Which is retarded for the amount of work that's involved to get them. Hearing they drop as legendaries now. WTF? WHY!!!!?? Annnnd then the spawn animations don't work. Months of grind for nothing. Thanks again Bungie for rewarding our grinding.....

1 ReplyI'm also having the same issue for my Dead Orbit Exotic Quest. I've tried Hanged Man, Bittersteel, and Nowhere shades with Omen of the Decayer emblem and I only have Endling Mark which is Y3. No progress on Crucible or Strikes.

1 ReplyAny official word on this? I've dismantled my yr2 class armour in all 3 faction on all 3 characters. Pretty sad that the same issue occurred during TTK and again with RoI. Bungie feel free to let us know if there is going to be a fix or if we should just forget this quest

2 RepliesSame for dead orbit! Apparently works ok if your using a year 2 class item but unfortunately I've dismantled all mine, this needs fixing. Are you using a year 3 class item?

Had same problem with DO quest when wearing ROI faction class item. Had to switch back to a pre-ROI faction class item to get progress on quest. Fortunately, I still had one on my vault.

Same with me for DO. I was using a Y2 class item and making good progress. Then switched to Y3 class item and progress has since halted. Unfortunately, I broke down the Y2 item and now I'm screwed.

It really is a pain that this questline isn't updating. As you can see this is what my Titan is currently using for the Questline through New Monarchy! Same. Using Y2 shader and emblem but I no longer have any year 2 armor/bonds so am wearing y3 armor and bond.
