Questions regarding Hard mode Oryx fight

1) I heard that with the 16 orb method, you need to keep shooting Oryx constantly over the course of the raid, and that when you detonate the 16 orbs, all the damage you did will be dealt to him at once. I heard that you need to do this or you won't take away all of his health in one go. Is this true? 2) There's supposedly a glitch where when you're brought back from the shadow dimension, there's a small chance that a member of the fireteam will die from "misadventure" for some odd reason. What's the best way to stop this from happening? 3) I want to be able to kill my plate's ogre faster to take some stress off of the guys in the middle. What is the best non-exotic for dealing with ogres? 4) My Stillpiercer, 331, leaves a tiny sliver of health upon headshotting my plate's knight. Will increasing my sniper to 335 allow me to 1 shot that knight? 5) That tombship that drops off the vessel, I often get killed by the slow moving purple orb things it shoots out. As I'm stuck on my plate until the runner has the relic, it's not something I can just dodge. One thing I have yet to try is shooting them. How can I avoid getting killed by the tombship's shots? 6) People say you shouldn't tether the shade when he tries to slam, but what about when he's outside? Will tethering the shade while he's in the distance and NOT slamming cause anything bad to happen? Thanks in advance for any answers, if I have more questions, I will likely edit this post.

Not exactly true. You have to shoot Oryx to stagger him every time he calls upon the Darkness. Also, you have to be shooting him when you detonate the blights in order to keep his chest open so that the blights can damage him. 2. That's lag. It happens sometimes because if you touch the Darkness Dimension from the outside, you die, and because you're brought out right at that spot, sometimes the game thinks you touched it. 3. Grenades and machine gun are what I use. 4. The 1KYS archetype of sniper used to be able to one-shot the Knights at 335, but with the recent nerf, I do not know if they still do. 5. You can't shoot the Tombship's shots, unfortunately. Just sit down on the far edge of your plate and hopefully it won't track you. If your runner is fast enough, you should be running to the middle before the Tombship even spawns. 6. No, that's the best time to tether him. You don't want to tether him when he's slamming because sometimes it makes him slam twice, but tethering him while he's in the distance is just fine.
