Basically what I'm getting to is pve and pvp balance changes stop. In pve the Devs just fix mechanics that enable cheating and unattended loop hole to completions of raids but no weapon nerfs. Pvp in the crucible I think there should be no nerfs since light level doesn't matter so why should it matter if I kill you with the thorn or the kvostov. Here's my idea, ban lists. Every week for ToO or every month for IB add a ban lists . Like say hand cannons are forbidden so your unable to use them, making everybody else use some thing else. This increases the competitiveness and eliminates most nerfs. Imagine just like yugioh or magic. They don't nerf the card effect they limit it or make it forbidden then after a while it comes back.
Imagine a trials without hand cannons, snipers or rocket launchers for one week. That would change the meta big time but it would only last a week.
Just like strikes have modifiers so should crucible
