Last time I spoke with members of the community forums, I shared with you a very sad tale of how my flight was canceled and I was unable to make it to my first gaming convention ever and how I was so upset to not be able to join the guardians of PAX West or reap the rewards of the sweet loot being sold there. I received so many messages from other Guardians commiserating with my and how I had been handed such a bad deal, but one of them stepped forward. One Guardian, were just gonna call him K for now since he asked to remain anonymous, took it upon himself to reach his hand out to help me. While getting me a flight to Seattle was out of the question, he was able to get me the collector's pin set I had my eyes on as well as a spare Union of Light emblem after informing a Bungie Employee of the situation. The pins are in the mail and I have already redeemed my code.

K: I read your posts, you were quite upset your trip could not happen, I stepped up to help you out, nothing more, nothing less. Your story has a positive ending, and you should when you receive your items post a reply to your "story" post and say "There was a positive ending to my story, I am happy, someone here took good care of me" and then leave it at that. You don't need to mention my name, I am not out for glory, as I would then get swamped with requests but in the end you will get the item you really wanted, most people won't.
An amazing Guardian who not only helped me out, but helped others as well from what I can tell. This guy should definitely be honored in some way and I plan to make a video of my good fortune after I receive the pins in the mail.

It's always awesome how the community can pull things together for one another. Thanks much to that fellow player!

Small world, these forums.
Haha. Mentors live in help :). I've ventured out beyond home here, but love coming out here to read stories like yours.

Same. I come to community when I feel the need to share my love for the game but I've been doing what I can to turn the help forums into my own little cardboard box under the freeway haha. Sadly though, I don't get to most people before the help accounts, Vincenzo2xs, or you get to them first with the right answers. I just try to keep info in circulation.
