Hardest Souls game?

Dark souls 3 was pretty difficult my first time around. My first play through my cousin soapstone'd in and helped me with it a lot. It was kinda like happy souls the entire time (LOL). Second play through though I did everything alone it was much more difficult, but I didn't have a problem. Dark souls 1 was harder for me imo (which I played after DK3). I raged harder on Orenstein and Smough, and Seath. Seath gave me problems because I tried to get his damn tail and I just couldn't get it til my second okay through. O&S made me rage well because it's them lol. Thanks to sunbro I got it though.

Saddly, I've only played 1 and 2. First play through of one was tough, especially since i was offline for a lot of it n didnt know about npc phantoms. Not ashamed to say the gargoyles gave me a hard time, along with capra, the anor londo archer assholes, and other bs. In 2, the only bosses i remember being difficult are the ruin sentinel trio in lost bastile, and the big ass dragon (who i never got around to beating) Not saying i cleared everything on my first try, but i didnt get stuck on the other bosses for too long. Maybe it had nothing to do with difficulty though, maybe dark souls one just prepared me for what I'd be up against in 2- small things that i can parry and big things that i have to stab in the ass after dodge rolling countless times

Dark Souls 1 took me over a week to complete with help, and I loved it even though I sucked, and it was hard as shit for me. Now I EZ my way through.

8 RepliesAs others have said: it will always be your first. From an objective view 2 is the easiest it just has cheap tricks. If you know the trick it's rather easy aside from some dlc stuff. 1 will be what everyone considers the hardest due to Anor Londo and Blightown. If don't focus on those you see that you then are free to go to multiple areas and can have 20 heals per area. You can make mistakes. 3 is rather well crafted and plays pretty smoothly. The only things that make it tough are a select few enemies/areas and having to find items to improve your heals. Bloosborne has one or two early tough bosses and then stays pretty darn easy until you play the dlc and any chalice from Defiled and up. Thus the hard stuff is the most optional, but is also the most difficult. Then there is Demon's Souls, and being the first is a very rough game. It can play extremely clunky (even for a souls game), and is very punishing if you die. If you die and leave an arae: it gets harder with world tendancies. Couple this with limited heals and it becomes sink, swim, or just barely tread water. Trying to be objective my vote goes to Demon's Souls.

Darksouls 3 was easy for me until i got to vordt, then it spiked down until i got to the abyss watchers. My most loved boss, because that might just be because of Stockholm syndrome.

1 ReplyDemon souls by far. I've played all of them and demon souls is by far the hardest. But having said that it was the first one I played making me remember the pain I went through trying to beat it. Then dark souls got recked. Dark souls 2 not hard Dark souls 3 hard. Demon souls harder. But I've not played blood born.

Can't get past the gargoyles, I forgot their name, but it's so challenging for me

Demon's Souls for me. It was my first one and I wasn't expecting it. After that they were okay. Punishing if you made a mistake but I wouldn't say they were difficult.

I haven't even gotten past the bell gargoyles. -blam!- dark souls 1.

It'll probably be your first unless Demon Souls was your second (or... At least not first). It also depends on the time of your play and the way you play.

I've only beaten him once, and I honestly believe it was because I got lucky. Thank god he's at the end of the dlc, otherwise it would make repeat playthroughs of The Old Hunters actually impossible for me.

10 RepliesI mean... Bloodborne IS the hardest. At least in terms of certain bosses. That Orphan of Kos is the hardest Boss in Souls I swear.

Whichever one you play first. For me it was dark souls 1. My first ever souls game, it kicked my butt. But after that, 2, scholar of first sin, bloodborne, and 3 were all pretty easy. Dint get me wrong, they had their difficult parts, but there was no struggle like I had in the first one

I've revisited all is the dark soils series (never played the others) and 1 and 2 are easy but 3 I still struggle in at low levels

1 ReplyThe hardest one is always going to be your first game in the series. That said, I think objectively dark souls 2 is the hardest, simply because the game is so cheap with its difficulty. Instead of making a fair encounter in the game they just threw more enemies at you. Souls combat excels at 1v1 combat, not 1v10.

2 RepliesDark Souls 3 was so easy. Even on NG+3. I had much more trouble in Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. Maybe it's just because I'm good now? I went back and played Dark Souls 2, and I killed the Dukes Dear Freja before the Last Sinner, and was overleveled for the rest of the game because the developers didn't expect anyone to kill the big ass spider first. The only game that stayed hard was Bloodborne. It fu[i]c[/i]ked me every time I NG+, and there was no way to overlevel to beat many bosses unless you are the most persistent farmer alive.
