Okay, since the beginning of Destiny, we have all judged a player's skill based on his or her grimoire. The higher the grimoire? The more experienced they were. However, even though that does hold some sort of truth, grimoire doesn't really give a measurement of your skills in combat. For example, a player could be really good at PvP and PvE but has low grimoire because they didn't take the time to look for all the dead ghosts. Looking for dead ghosts has nothing to do with actual skill though. That's why I propose the idea of a Ranking System. I know this is nothing brand new, but it'll help flesh out a character's experience more. A character's rank will increase based on what he or she has done in game, such as how many enemies killed, how many strikes or raids completed, if he's completed every quest, etc. And these are the only ways to rank up your Title. By simply playing the game, and how well you play it. So the titles would go something like this. Newly Reborn- Players who have just started their adventure. Recruit- Players who have completed the prologue, and a few missions. Soldier- For players who have completed ten or more quests, usually the first few beginning ones that deal with the missions on all the planets. True Guardian- Players who have reached level 20. Hero of the City- Players who have completed the main storyline. Warrior of the Light- For players who have completed the DLC storylines. Bane of Darkness- For players who have done 1 or more end game activity. (Raids, PoE, Nightfall) Paragon- For players who have completed all end game activities at least once. Legend- For players who have completed every quest, and obtained every quest exotic and done every end game activity more than once. This is just a rough draft of how the titling system will work, but I think some great ideas could stem from this. Thoughts? Edit: I'm also working on a titling system that ranks you based on your Crucible performance.
