No Time To Explain theories?

First of all, I'm talking about the gun, No Time To Explain 😄 So, what do you guys think about this weapon? How do you think it came into being? Who might have built? Is it even the Stranger's Rifle at all? If you think it is her rifle then do you think it's newer or older version of it? What do you think about all of it? Discuss Edit: Yes, I edited the cringeworthyness. Deal with it 😑

  • I literally just got off my first match with and I killed with it , it was amazing but after reading all the descriptions , and after jumping around ana bray's puddles I came to the conclusion that bray might be the stranger but in the descriptions it says that through the tangles a weapon comes through and the people who sent it recognise our potential and our achievements and gave us this weapon and it says that maybe we might be able to even speak to them , then I looked at the description of the actual weapon and it says soon , so maybe we'll speak to "them" soon.

    • I believe it's story starts with Preydith. It was his gun originally, Preydith's Timepiece. It was lost in time when he was killed in the vault of glass. Eventually the gun turned up far into the future where it was found by someone or something and given upgrades, this is when it became No Time To Explain. At this point the gun had become unstable in the time stream and eventually disappeared into time again. It floated in time for centuries and degraded as the years went on until it eventually showed up in our time period. It was found by the Stranger and is now the Stranger's Rifle. If the story goes on like it has it may someday disappear into time again.

        • It's an obvious explanation, but know one really has time to explain their thoughts on no time to explain.

        • everyone believes the stranger time travels. this seems like a good theory, however. My personal theory is that she and her team jump timeline to timeline. never going forward or backward but like the vex (though opposite) she is searching for a timeline that ends with us victorious. this would explain her lack of time to explain because a time traveler should have time because they're setting a time. she is trying to manage multiple timelines at once and is therefore very busy. NTTE is praedyth's timepiece, and the strangers rifle. not before or after, but together they have merged into this timeline. feel free to poke holes in my theory.

          • I don't quite get why people try to keep connecting praedeth and the stranger. There is nothing I have seen in the game or grimiore that even remotely suggests that they ever met, let alone knew each other. Praedeth was a member of a three man team that went into the vault of glass, he was lost in the dark corners of time, (a scary concept for anyone who has never seen a clock that wasn't round.) and his story ends with him perishing in the vault of glass at a time that happens long before he even ventured inside. The stranger on the other hand is a mostly still mysterious entity that is more likely to be a part of the trinity star cult.

            • Nobody knows for certain here's the grimoire card for it; A single word is etched onto the inside of the weapon's casing: “Soon.” Novarro's timeline analysis indicates the weapon is the fabled Exo Stranger's Rifle, enhanced at a future point in this continuity and then sent back to this present. Deliah's timeline analysis indicates the weapon was built by Praedyth, who based it on his own version of the Exo Stranger's Rifle, and then set it adrift in a time ripple. Hari's timeline analysis indicates the weapon was built by beings of unidentifiable origin, and arrived here by pure accident. Inachis's timeline analysis indicates the weapon originates from Earth, late Golden Age, and will eventually be lost to time ripples once again, where its systems will degrade and be replaced until our recent past acquires it as the Exo Stranger's Rifle. As for me... I think it's safe to say the weapon is proving far more fun than we could have hoped.

              • The no time to explain could be the rifle of who the stranger was talking to. I assume Praedyth

                  • It's a culmination of multiple timelines and acts as a central point through which those guns exist in one space.

                      • I've seen some theory's on it. I think one of the more believable ones is that praedyth actually made it, and sent it through time for someone to find it. Another part of the theory is that the stranger found it in another timeline and made it the strangers rifle.

                      • NTTE is itself, The Stranger's Rifle, & Praedyth's Timepiece all at once just from different points in time. It starts with Praedyth, who, in the past, set his weapon adrift through Vex time gates after his experience in the Vault of Glass. The gun went to the future where it was upgraded using future technology & became No Time To Explain. It was then lost for years until the time hopping Exo Stranger found it in a degraded state & made it her Rifle, gifting it to us in the present.

                        • What if I told you This guns quest line was bungies way of getting players to try out the new and improved lfg raid recruitment page, get players to have nostalgia about old raids, make players want this raid back that much more and create hundreds of VOG posts in the forums, and to once and for all end the "I found the last chest!!" Trolls Would you believe that?
