2x PS4 on the same LAN (EXTREME lag issues)

Hello. Some background: All the time since Year 1 I've been able to seamlessly play with my brother as he ocassionally brings his PS4 over, so we play on the very same local network. However, as of recently we've basically been unable to play with each other, sometimes we can't join each other at all. Sometimes it works like a charm and runs perfectly fluent. And then we have those games where the lag kicks in to overdrive and basically enables a two-way lagswitch for us and the enemy team. I do not know if it is because of our router, or the game, I've recieved mixed answers saying it's on Bungie's end, and been reading posts saying it's this and that on our end. To clarify; while playing solo with only 1 PS4 everything works perfect. Even if both are online, however in different games it works out. It's as soon as we play in the same fireteam where it derails. Now this is one of the REALLY bad games I've linked up above, it's very rare it derails this bad, we've had this maybe 1 or 2 other times, the usual effect is that things are just massively delayed, like enemies running into walls and shots not registering until a minute later. So to give some context what's going on in the video. Basically 1 of the opponents is completely invisible to us. It's like he's on a different realm or something. The other 2 can play seemingly just fine but are very laggy, they experience us the same way, if not worse. The other opponent is only visible to 1 of our fireteam members (the only one not on our local network). At the very end, my brother recieves a fatal game error as it crashes to PS4 dashboard, and I get removed from the game world. It also seemed to boot some of their players. You can also see that our teammate stands up with no weapon although he's dead. I've also posted this to reddit, there's a more detailed post there about how our network is setup, what we've tried and what doesn't seem to work. So before you say "Enable UPnP", it does not work. It's already on. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/4yhv0s/2_ps4s_on_the_same_network_issues_help/ This has been happening on and off for about a month now, and I don't know what else can be done. I don't personally believe this is just a Bungie issue, but I can't really put the entire blame on our network either since everything else works perfect. What is rather humurous however, is how two PS4's on the same network can cause this much innocent lag and ruin the experience for both sides. Anyone have any ideas, or had the same issues? UPnP refuses to work as it doesn't even display any of the PS4's on the router interface. However, if UPnP wouldn't work, why are we able to play 9/10 games perfect and some not?

  • Have the same issue playing with my son on the same network. Been playing without issues since TTK landed and suddenly we are experiencing problems with lag and even joining each other's fireteam. All this resulted in my son getting a one week ban from crucible for "unstable connection" after the last Iron Banner....
